I WOULD LIKE TO HAVE THE ABILITY TO SAVE THE END PRODUCT IN PIC FORMAT SO I CAN SEND IT OUT.

IS THIS POSSIBLE?

Hello there Bill.

Certainly.

You must export the comic out as an image.

To do that, go to File > Export > Export to Image(s)...

Then you can choose Jpg or PNG file format and export it.

Hope this helps!

my files are TOO big!
written by Kristen Godfrey, November 25, 2008

I am creating enormous files..over ten pages at a time of intensively crammed-in visuals. Comic Life is beginning to show the strain!
Is there a maximum number of MBs that can be on CL at a time? What is the best way to store files for working on later while not affecting the overall health of CL? Information would be greatly appreciated. I had hoped buying the Deluxe vers. might address this problem but, no..It is suffering as much as the bundled Mac download I had originally. I can't stop pasting pics, I LOVE CL, a bit too much!

Hello there Kristen,

Thanks for contacting us.

I would suggest a Comic Life document file size of about 1 GB or about 10 pages is normally a good thing to go by. It of course depends on Megapixel sized camera that you have taken the photos with and the amount of RAM your computer has.

In the new year, we will be releasing Comic Life 1.5 which will have image-linking enabled meaning the actual photo won't be stored in the comic document if you are using images from places like your iPhoto library. This will keep the size of your comic document down and hopefully keep performance up smilies/smiley.gif

Hope this helps!

each time i try to play with the styles for the speech bubbles and text boxes, they print with large coloured squares behind them, thus covering much of the picture... any idea why?
thanks

Any chance of something like Comic Touch coming out for Windows? I'd love a small program that easily places word balloons on .jpgs without all of the templates and abilities of the full Comic Life

Great!

Missing photos from comic?
written by Lozza, November 21, 2009

Hi - I've just updated CL after being prompted by the new release/download. Now though, my previously saved Comic Life files won't open properly - the frames and speech bubbles are displayed, but they're empty - no photo is shown behind them??
Yet the page index down the left hand side of the screen shows thumbnail images in their full. Please help...
