Voilà une initiative des plus heureuses. Le savoir de Plasq et la qualité de ses logiciels au service des apprentissages : de quoi ravir nos enfants et leur donner une raison supplémentaire de découvrir l'informatique sous un autre aspect que les jeux. C'est aussi un très bon outil pédagogique qui je l'espère saura trouver sa place dans les écoles. D'ailleurs, Plasq devrait nous concocter un «Kit Éducation» avec tablette graphique, Doozla, (l'excellent) ComicLife et Skitch. Reste à localiser tout cela... non que l'apprentissage de l'anglais ne serait pas (en plus ) le bienvenu, mais cela en faciliterait l'exploitation.

En tout cas... encore une idée de génie ! Merci de donner au Mac ses lettres de noblesse.

Comme l'écrit Jil, une bêta de Comic Life Magiq... car rien que les annonces, cela donne l'encre à la plume ! ComicLife, c'est déjà grandiose... alors, si en plus c'est magique ! Je l'utilise personnellement, mais aussi professionnellement (à l'école) et c'est vraiment un très bon outil. Skitch est une bonne idée... mais il aurait fallu aller plus loin : une sorte de mélange Skitch, PowerGoo/Photobooth et ComicLife dans la même "iapplication". De quoi donner des ailes à l'imagination !!!!

En particulier à propos des applications pédagogiques possibles… et je partage le même souhait…

hi!

i was going to purchase ComicLife (I've used it before in my previous MBP-how come it's not bundled the iMacs??) but I stumbled on your soon-to-be-release ComicLife Magiq. I'm now mulling whether to get one now or wait it out a bit. Can you please help me out by answering the following questions:

1) What are the differences between ComicLife and ComicLife magiq?
2) If I purchase ComicLife now, will there be an upgrade path to magiq?

1) What are the differences between ComicLife and ComicLife magiq?

Comic Life Magiq will not replace Comic Life - both will still be available. It will differ from Comic Life, in that it will allow you to do more funky things like image manipulation, green screening cut outs, prop artworks, spraycans and have different available themes.

2) If I purchase ComicLife now, will there be an upgrade path to magiq?

There will be a cross-grade path available. Comic Life Magiq will be $44.95, and we will have a $29.95 cross-grade available.

Ok so it's Q2 of 2008. Can we get an update on this product's release?

Also @ Lodewijk: The product will be tapping into Leopard-only technology, probably including CoreAnimation, which simply aren't there in earlier versions of Mac OS X.

I was about to purchase Comic Life until I found out about Magiq. Does this mean I should wait for Magiq or will my Comic Life purchase go towards the upgrade to Magiq?

Comic Life Magiq will now be available late May.

Comic Life Magiq will not be replacing Comic Life Deluxe -- it is a sister program with additional features.

Comic Life Magiq will retail for $44.95 and we will offer a $30 cross-grade option if you have already purchased Comic Life.

@ Lodewijk - what Andrew stated is correct. It will only be OS 10.5 compatible due to the Leopard technology it is utilizing.
