Comic Life Magiq 1.0.2.1 update released
A free update for Comic Life Magiq is available for all users.

Identical to 1.0.2c in all but version number, which has been changed to ensure 1.0.2 users are made aware of the 1.0.2c update via the menu: Comic Life Magiq > Check for Updates...

This 1.0.2.1 update is recommended for all 1.0.2 users and fixes a serious saving issue introduced in 1.0.2 that caused images to be left out of the document.

If you're already running 1.0.2c (v10939) you can "Skip This Version".

Head to the plasq downloads page to get the 1.0.2.1 update or update from within Comic Life Magiq.

Re:version 1.4.1 PDF export does not wor - 2008/03/04 02:36 Sorry to hear people are having these problems - we're still needing more information so if anyone can Compress, and then email a sample comic which is not generating PDFs to support AT plasq.com then we can take a look and try to work out what is happening.

Also, if you can run the Console app (find it using spotlight), and see if any messages appear there when trying to export as PDF, that would be very helpful as well.

(To compress a file into a single .zip, right click/ control click on it and choose 'compress')

Many thanks

Re:version 1.4.1 PDF export does not wor - 2008/03/10 21:32 Hi,

I have the same problem with both my mini and my macbook. However, I tried it at my parent's place - imac and the pdf export works just fine. I'm wondering if I need to reinstall the program? I REALLY need the lower resolution pdf export to work - any progress on solving it?

You know what, that actually kind of worked. I deleted the program then re-installed it. I was able to generate my full comic, but on the pages that had a full bleed, there was a little area at the bottom that was left blank, or white. Also, the file size was huge. 101 megs.

I then got to thinking. I launched acrobat 7.0, and imported all of the pages that I had saved as tiff files/pages. I then saved the pages as a single pdf file; the file size was a lot smaller too - 40 megs.

This works!

Ya gotta have the full acrobat program tho.

Thanks for the idea!

Re:version 1.4.1 PDF export does not wor - 2008/03/12 03:03 Well I got this to work as follows.
File/print/save to PDF.
Opened in Illustrator and all the component parts of this file are available in Illustrator to fool around with.
Brilliant!
