We are delighted to offer a beta of our upcoming Comic Life Magiq 1.0.3 update.
It has numerous stability and significant performance improvements over 1.0.2.1 - so we would love previous users to download and let us know if you come across any issues.
A free update for Comic Life Magiq is available for all users.
Identical to 1.0.2c in all but version number, which has been changed to ensure 1.0.2 users are made aware of the 1.0.2c update via the menu: Comic Life Magiq > Check for Updates...
This 1.0.2.1 update is recommended for all 1.0.2 users and fixes a serious saving issue introduced in 1.0.2 that caused images to be left out of the document.
If you're already running 1.0.2c (v10939) you can "Skip This Version".
Head to the plasq downloads page to get the 1.0.2.1 update or update from within Comic Life Magiq.

Hello everyone.
Someone just told me about this product and site. I'd love to get feedback from those of you using it.
Do they have templets that I can CHOOSE the size? Like could I create a photo, specifically 7 x 5 or 5 x 7 and have it print out high quality.
IF anyone is using this application like that, I'd appreaciate hearing from you. You could write me directly at mlmblonde @ superteam.com or give me a call at 813-987-2688
I'm trying to figure out the differences between the applications show and how easy it is to learn? Is it easy enough for a NON Tech person, or is it hard like some of those others.

Thanks for the reply.
That helps a lot.
I JUST upgraded from CL to deluxe, and then discovered Magiq.
I had thought Magiq was more about templates for making greeting cards with photo's, etc... but when I downloaded the trial, I discovered that it still does everything that CLD does and more!
Dang! Now I'm a bit torn. LOL
I think I'll always keep CLD as I really like the lay out of it, and it's so easy to use.
It's my hope to use it to publish a book of my work next year. (fingers crossed)
CL is absolutely brilliant, and it's saved me so much time making a web-comic. (I never did like drawing the boxes or writing the dialogue)

Magiq is another program altogether. It's called a "cross-grade" because the functionality overlaps, and Magiq doesn't make the original CL obsolete. You can have both at the same time.
Be aware, however, that despite the name the files they create are not compatible. If you have any tempaltes, you'll have to recreate them in Magiq, and you should keep CL around in case you need to manipulate any of the comics you made in that program.

Hi,
This is going to sound like a bit of a naive question here, but I wanted to just make sure of this before I purchase Magiq.
I bought my iMac just over a year ago, and Comic Life came with it.
It's fantastic, and I use it quite a lot for my own web comics.
Now with the introduction of Comic Life Magiq it offers the option of purchasing a 'crossgrade' if you have the original Comic Life already.
So, I'm just wondering what it means by 'Crossgrade'...
Does this mean it upgrades my current version of Comic Life, or does it work in conjunction with it?
Or is Magiq a new program altogether?
Thanks for your time.

Hello there Tom,
Thanks for your kind words.
My only complaint is that I have many comics that I created in the original CL and I can not open them or import them in CLM. Is there any chance of this feature in future versions.
We hope to add an exporter to Comic Life 1.5 that will make the comic readable by Comic Life Magiq.
Sorry for the delay and inconvenience.
Tom
I absolutely love Comic life Magiq. It takes some getting used to, but all of the extra features are great. My favorite is how easy it is to create a full page (2 pages) spread. My only complaint is that I have many comics that I created in the original CL and I can not open them or import them in CLM. Is there any chance of this feature in future versions. Thanks for all the great work!
