Comic Life Magiq 1.0.2.1 update released
A free update for Comic Life Magiq is available for all users.

Identical to 1.0.2c in all but version number, which has been changed to ensure 1.0.2 users are made aware of the 1.0.2c update via the menu: Comic Life Magiq > Check for Updates...

This 1.0.2.1 update is recommended for all 1.0.2 users and fixes a serious saving issue introduced in 1.0.2 that caused images to be left out of the document.

If you're already running 1.0.2c (v10939) you can "Skip This Version".

Head to the plasq downloads page to get the 1.0.2.1 update or update from within Comic Life Magiq.

Robert Yes, you can use your regular email program to email us. The contact us form is simply a convenience for folks browsing the web...

And yes an original JPEG is what I need to examine.

Best,

Robert.
logan3-1639 I'd be happy to send you whatever files you need, but I don't see how to send you an email with attachments. When I click on the "contact us" link, an email form appears, but I see no way to send you any files.

Do you want me email you at "support at plasq dot com"? And are you requesting one or more of the original JPEG files that were dropped into the CL panels?

Thanks.

Robert Hi,

Hmm - there's something up with those image files - can you send one to us for analysis?

Best,

Robert.
logan3-1639 Yes, in the exported file the formatting of images in the panels was pretty seriously disturbed. In every panel where I zoomed in on a subject's head or moved the picture left or right, in the exported file we're now looking at the subject's chest or stomach. Every one of these images have been cropped incorrectly based on my original edits.

It gets worse: I thought that rebooting the G4 might help. I have a 1.25 GHz MDD G4 with 1.5G of RAM, running OS X 10.3.5. After rebooting, I double-clicked on the Comic Life file that I had created--the one I'm having the problem with--and when it opened, all of the images in the panels are upside down! The text and thought balloons are fine, but the images are upside down in the panels.

I have no idea what's going on. I had downloaded, installed, and purchased Comic Life v1.0.1, by the way.
Robert Hi Logan,

Hmm - it should be WYSIWYG all the way. This is the first report of this kind we've received. Are things dramatically out of whack (which it sounds like) or a few pixels here and there?

Best,

Robert.
logan3-1639 I got a page to look just the way I wanted while working in Comic Life. I created a single page with six photos, and I moved and "cropped" some of the photos within the panels. They look fine.

But when I export the page to images (JPEG or TIFF), the photos that appeared to be cropped and resized perfectly in Comic Life are now repositioned incorrectly within the panels in the exported JPEG or TIFF or PDF.

The positions of these photos have changed from they way that they were arranged in Comic Life and the exported page looks wrong, now.

Am I missing something?

Thanks,

Logan
