Comic Life Magiq 1.0.2.1 update released
A free update for Comic Life Magiq is available for all users.

Identical to 1.0.2c in all but version number, which has been changed to ensure 1.0.2 users are made aware of the 1.0.2c update via the menu: Comic Life Magiq > Check for Updates...

This 1.0.2.1 update is recommended for all 1.0.2 users and fixes a serious saving issue introduced in 1.0.2 that caused images to be left out of the document.

If you're already running 1.0.2c (v10939) you can "Skip This Version".

Head to the plasq downloads page to get the 1.0.2.1 update or update from within Comic Life Magiq.

M Redmond Good morning - how great that grade 2s can put something like this 2gether! Very inspiring.

I tried to open your pdf file but got an error. Would really like to see it.
Adam Bezark Jeez, guys - can you do anything to stop the spam?

Thanks,

Adam
Adam Bezark Nice.
Rene Visco great job!!
atariboy That is excellent! thanks!
ajbezark Just noticed this forum on education and thought I'd share a project I did with my son's 2nd grade class in June.

We used Comic Life as the springboard for a three-day project on Visual Storytelling. Here's how we did it:

DAY ONE: Show samples of comic books & comic strips, discuss the "grammar" of visual storytelling. Split class into teams of three. Each team picks one of their favorite stories they read during the year. Figure out how to depict their story in 6-8 comic panels on a single page.

DAY TWO: Teams photographed their stories, using digital cameras and simple props/costumes.

DAY THREE: Teams used Comic Life to import their photos and build their comic pages, adding titles, captions and dialog as needed.

Over the following weekend, I posted their comics on my mac.com page, and printed a copy of each kid's comic for them to keep.

Here's the link to the kids' comics.

The project was a HUGE hit. Thanks to the plaqeteers for helping so many kids have fun while learning about storytelling!

Adam

P.S. I've attached the "Class Notes" that I wrote up for the teacher.
