We don't have any plans to release it anytime soon sorry.

However, you can recreate exactly what Comic Life does by simply dropping in a single panel onto the page and stretching it so it fills the whole page.

If you want to be more advanced, and want the page size to be the same as the output image you can manually change the page size (View > Options > Custom Size). Then drop in a single panel and stretch it to fill the page.

All the Single Panel feature does is saves these manual steps.
