I don't know how difficult this would be to implement, but it'd be great if the background fills could accommodate a full-bleed out to the edges of the document rather than limit them to the margin area only. It would make sense to show the area outside the margins on the screen as white, but allow an option to print the background image out to the document edges if desired.
I recently completed a project in Comic Life that I had to output to 300dpi TIFFs and then manually extend the background style to the edges in order to meet the specs of Comixpress.
