Feature request: tiled background images - 2005/04/21 21:45
I'm a bit hesitant to ask for more 'stuff' because you guys seem so eager to 'pile it on' ... I'd rather see the app be stable than jammed with features!
But hey, no harm to ask .... ??
I'd like to have the option to drag an image to a page directly (not in a panel) and have it 'tile' to become the background of the entire page. This can sort of be done manually with a hand-made large image in a panel that covers the sheet, but it would be nice to have a drag 'n drop way to do it with a small 'tile' ...
I kind of thought this might already be in there when I saw the checkbox marked 'backdrop' on the Page Attributes tab panel, but I can't for the life of me figure out what that actually does. It seems to be associated with page numbering, but nothing I do with it seems to have any effect, nor can I find anything in the manual. Care to drop a hint?
