Other language support? - 2005/04/17 18:18 What are the plans for further localization of Comic Life? I would love to use this to also create Japanese language comics, but although I see that the app will accept Japanese input (is it Unicode savvy?) it seems to have no way to display Japanese written vertically - essential for 'manga'!

Also, I would very much 'second' the suggestions posted elsewhere for .tif hi-res output. I want to use this app for real published material, not just for web stuff!

Thanx

Re:Other language support? - 2005/04/17 20:05 Hello Dave!

We're looking at localization issues, including vertical text support. If anyone can talk about their experiences with different mac os x applications that handle vertical text, then that would be wonderful and helpful.

Or any sources on the net as examples of the "real" manga (with vertical Japanese text)?

Finally, can anybody comment on the suitability for Comic Life in the Japanese market - comics there really have a different cultural value.

More export options should be coming soon.

Well, I've got some scanned pages in the Hanga Manga section of my website.

Look in the 'Young Sunday' section ...
