Re:Unofficial Concise Bug Reports v1.01 - 2005/04/27 01:06 Are you using these tools on the PDF file generated from Save As PDF in the Print sheet?

Can you explain your process?

Best,

Robert.

Re:Unofficial Concise Bug Reports v1.01 - 2005/04/27 01:08 Hi Mrfugu,

it sounds like it started to drag the whole thing for a bit and then switched to resizing mode. The frame your dragging is on a panel?

Does it always happen or just sometimes?

Resizing has been well behaved here.

Best,

Robert.

Re:Unofficial Concise Bug Reports v1.01 - 2005/04/27 02:56 I have consistent crashes using "Quick comic…" The screen will draw but any attempt to do anything causes a crash. Here's the first lines of the crash report:

Exception: EXC_BAD_ACCESS (0x0001)

Re:Unofficial Concise Bug Reports v1.01 - 2005/04/27 08:14 Robert,

It has only happened one time, but I've not put another long session into ComicLife since then, I'll double check the next time I'm composing.

What exactly was happening:

I selected a panel (i called it a frame in my last post) with a picture in it. (a drag across the corner of the panel starting outside , and via a click in the panel to select it). This highlighted the panel's 'Resize Points'. I initiated a click-hold with the intention of resizing a small amount by clicking within one of the green 'Resize Points'.

Immediately upon mouse down the whole panel, but not the image inside, moved a pixel down and to the right, in this case revealing the (sharp white) border of the image inside the panel. I was then able to resize the panel, in the same click-hold, or let go and click-hold the exact same way and it behaved normally, resizing the panel without moving it.

fwiw, I have a 1.25mdd, 2gb, 10.3.9, current on all updates, and running quite smoothy in all respects. ComicLife v1.01

The ComicLife file this happened within is about 6mb with 2 pages and ~20 panels.

hope this helps,

mrfugu

Re:Unofficial Concise Bug Reports v1.01 - 2005/04/27 09:13 Hi Mrfugu,

My theory is that the drag selection selected more than just the panel (it selected the background image too) - which renders the resize handles in operative (they then just indicate the selected items) dragging them will move all the selected items. This probably shouldn't happen - I'll look at fixing the drag select so it doesn't also select the background image.

Best,

Robert.
