Comic Life Magiq 1.0.2.1 update released
A free update for Comic Life Magiq is available for all users.

Identical to 1.0.2c in all but version number, which has been changed to ensure 1.0.2 users are made aware of the 1.0.2c update via the menu: Comic Life Magiq > Check for Updates...

This 1.0.2.1 update is recommended for all 1.0.2 users and fixes a serious saving issue introduced in 1.0.2 that caused images to be left out of the document.

If you're already running 1.0.2c (v10939) you can "Skip This Version".

Head to the plasq downloads page to get the 1.0.2.1 update or update from within Comic Life Magiq.

"Directory" is the same thing as "remote path," the verbiage used by most FTP clients I've used. In my case, it's /public_html/images

"Base URL" is how you'd get to that directory via a web browser. In my case, it's http://images.mydomain.com/. You might try adding the http:// prefix to your URL in the text field.

That said, what about it "doesn't work" for you? Are you getting any errors or anything? Are you certain that the directory you're specifying exists? (Ya, I know, but I try to check the obvious first - I don't mean to imply you've no idea what you're doing, by any means!)

I got it!

My web site is set up so my ftp user logs in and sees all the sites associated with that user, so my directory that i upload to is "foo.com/images" and the base url is "http://foo.com/images" yay!

Re:Webpost FTP values? - 2007/12/25 15:37 I still can't figure it out. I am surprised that I can't, but I am doing something wrong. I am on (mt) and am using a subdomain to host my pictures http://images.gatheringinlight.com. I am not sure what my directory is supposed to look like and I am using http://xxxxxx.gridserver.com for "server."

This is the error I am getting right now:

"There is a problem with the server connection.
Perhaps some settings have changed or are incorrect, or there might be a problem on the other end with the server."

Can you give me a hand on this?

Re:Webpost FTP values? - 2007/12/25 21:10 Hello there Wess,

Have you tried using ftp.gatheringinlight.com for the server?

and then

Directory: www/images (different depending on server)

Base URL: http://gatheringinlight.com/images

Of course, this Directory needs to exist on your website.

Try that and let us know how you go.

Re:Webpost FTP values? - 2008/01/16 13:26 I am getting a base url error also.

http://jakeanddiana.com/skitch

I am not sure what the deal is. The images are being uploaded but it keeps saying the base url is wrong.

Re:Webpost FTP values? - 2008/02/14 07:25 Hi!
I also have problems webposting an image: it works well when loading to MySkitch but not to my host server.

This is strange because the settings work all right with another app (server, user, password, etc.)...

Any help?

Re:Webpost FTP values? - 2008/03/03 15:35 I've tried every variant I can think of and still can't figure out how to make skitch connect to my sftp server. Nice plasq people, could you provide a clearly-written example of what a "directory" and a "base URL" should look like?

In my case I want any image I upload to end up at the URL for the directory http://www.socialsignal.com/system/files/images

but when I login via SFTP the full behind-the-scenes path is
/var/www/html/sites/default/files/images

Any suggestion on what I should enter as my settings?

thanks,

a.
