Please visit the forum for more information, including where to download the beta.

Thank you very much for your help testing the future!

Comic Life Magiq 1.0.2.1 update released
A free update for Comic Life Magiq is available for all users.

Identical to 1.0.2c in all but version number, which has been changed to ensure 1.0.2 users are made aware of the 1.0.2c update via the menu: Comic Life Magiq > Check for Updates...

This 1.0.2.1 update is recommended for all 1.0.2 users and fixes a serious saving issue introduced in 1.0.2 that caused images to be left out of the document.

If you're already running 1.0.2c (v10939) you can "Skip This Version".

Head to the plasq downloads page to get the 1.0.2.1 update or update from within Comic Life Magiq.

Re:Download Comic Life Windows beta 4 - 2007/10/07 19:46 Hi Kramy,

I downloaded the Beta4 version yesterday and installed it on my windowns (BTW, on the link you still says beta3).

Today I tried to use it the first time. When I tried to make the page orientation (View-Options) into landscape. It doesnt work. I had to do it from File-Page format.

Do you know why? What are the difference between this two places to set the page orientation?

Anyway, I must say that I am very excited to find out the Comic Life for windows! I have been using it on the macbook of my boyfriend but it's great that now I can also run it on my windows!

Thanks for providing the program and I hope it gets better and better!

Oops! Fixed

View > Options is like Preferences - anything changed in their will apply to all NEW comics created. Not the present comic.

File > Page Format applies to the current comic.

Hope that clears things up

Thanks! Did you find any other bugs?

Re:Download Comic Life Windows beta 4 - 2007/10/08 23:42 Ok, found another. When you go to the list of files that you've had open recently and then you try to access it directly without hunting and finding the saved file you get a "failed to open" message.

Even with these bugs, I've grown to like Comic Life a lot , and would really enjoy seeing a deluxe version for Windows with more conceptual designs, more panel & balloon styles, and the ability to modify panels, balloons, & caption boxes.

IMHO, I think you guys beat Comic Book Creator hands down even with all that content! Have you seen what they're doing to the customers? They're not making any of their softwares upgradeable to newer more expensive versions for a discounted rate. Instead, the consumer has to buy stand alones every time at full price!

I've babbled long enough. Sorry.

Thanks for letting me be a beta tester.

Re:Download Comic Life Windows beta 4 - 2007/10/09 01:02 I totally agree with Lynn, CBC says its the best and from personal experience, they handle customers in a poorly fashion. I purchased it and it doesnt work right. it wont save what i did. Meaning, after inserting the panels and then adding text boxes and speech ballons and even savuing it, it wont publish with the text boxes and balloons. It dont publish to pdf either like it claims it does.

Last week after being mad about this I tried ti take my mind off things and came across CL. I have read up on it before but was sad to see if was MAc only application. Then I read about a Windows beta version. So i downloaded the bets and tried it. I love it. When the official windows version ios available for purchase, count on me buying it.

I run my own webcomic and was using photoshop to do all the work and stuff.
