Michael Visitor	Re:Balloon frame not printing - 2007/12/25 21:50 I just used Comic Life for first time. Upgraded to 1.4. Using OSX 10.5.1. HP OfficeJet L7680. When I print the "Lettering" Text and the Bubble Lines do not print. Text in the Bubbles do print thou. I tried preview and print from there and same thing. I got it to work by saving in preview as tiff and then printing from preview the tiff. But still, whats going on? Postscript error? HP printers always seem to choke on weird things.

Re:Balloon frame not printing - 2007/12/27 11:36 There seems to be some incompatibility issues with the new HP Leopard Drivers and Comic Life.

Could you try removing your printer from Apple > System Preferences... > Print & Fax ... then

From the HP site: there is a Custom install option available on the Mac OS X v10.5 DVD to install the full HP driver set.

Could you please try this?

I deleted the printer from the Print/Fax System Preferences and installed the HP drivers from the Leopard DVD (just those; not all the others). (By the way, you might want to make clear that folks don't use the regular installer to do this. They need to open the "Optional Installs* package. Otherwise, they'll end up doing a brand new archive and install for the whole system.) Anyway, rebooted and opened up the same comic.doc I was having trouble with. Still no balloon frames. The HP version is listed at 4.0.2. Is there a newer version of this driver? When I run the HP updater, it runs without doing anything for about an hour until I turn it off.

We have now been able to reproduce the issue.

We are not sure what is causing it - but we are looking into the issue.

In the meantime, and as a work-around please export the image (File > Export > Export to Image(s)) and print from that.
