Cranium Comics has recently launched their first four color comic, Brawn #1.
"I used Comic Life on my Mac exclusively to lay out the storyboards, then later when I created and colored all 24 pages of the issue," recounted Anthony Rezendes, the owner of Cranium Comics and co-creator of Brawn.
The comic 'Brawn' focuses on a dockworker named Sam Ross who was reborn as the hero "Brawn" after he was nearly killed in a drunk driving accident.
"Being an illustrator, it saved me quite a bit of time from having to lay all the text bubbles out manually. It made the process of actually creating the comic that much more enjoyable," Mr. Rezendes added.

pixelated images - 2008/03/04 13:43i'm terribly sorry if this has been posted, i looked but didn't see it!
comic life automatically resizes my photos when i drag and drop, and i don't like how small they get, but when i try to resize, they get very pixelated. the original images are very large to begin with, so i know it's not a problem with the originals. the manual says that, if you dont like the clipping or resizing when you drop it in a panel, drop it somewhere else and pick it up from there, but it's still too small.
Re:pixelated images - 2008/03/04 19:01The image LOOKS pixilated, but it's not actually. If you attempt to print or export the document, you will see the image at it's full resolution. Comic Life decreases the resolution it's displaying so as to speed up the screen redraw/refresh.
Re:pixelated images - 2008/05/12 22:02Hi, i think I have a quite same problem. I have imported my pictures (they are all 300dpi @ A4 size..210*297 mm MINI). SO I should NOT have PIXEL problems, but I still have pixelated pictures at export...in jpeg 300 quality max... The pdf export just provides me blank sheets each time... I even tried with the same picture imported @ 72...150 and 300 dpi for the same print size = same problem of pixel on screen AND PRINT All the frames and texts are OK but not the pics...
Any idea fo a little help??? bug with another software? Adobe? bug with skitch?
import of a picture 400X307 pix. At the first apearence, that look "quite good".
If i Stretch the pic to a full A4 size... IT LOOKS BETTER !!!!!! If I clic on Resize Image to actual Size : it loose all the quality???????!!!!!!!!!!!!!! that's very very strange
Sometimes if I resize, the original quality come back...but just 1 seconde and let appears a very pixelized pix...and sometimes too, the original size is smaller.....
That's not only on the screen, same problem on the prints and export......
I have prepared a 63 sheets comic... and I now can't use it ... only for screen...but the original goal is to print the book...Help Help Help... I don't want to rebuild everything manually on photoshop.. Your software is so good....
