Comic Life for Windows and Comic Life for Mac have both been recently updated.

You may find the release notes for Comic Life for Windows (1.3.6) here and Comic Life for Mac (1.4.3) here.

This update is also for the Deluxe version.

Please download from within Comic Life or from our downloads page.

Comic Life Magiq 1.0.3 Beta released
We are delighted to offer a beta of our upcoming Comic Life Magiq 1.0.3 update.

It has numerous stability and significant performance improvements over 1.0.2.1 - so we would love previous users to download and let us know if you come across any issues.

Comic Life Magiq 1.0.2.1 update released
A free update for Comic Life Magiq is available for all users.

Identical to 1.0.2c in all but version number, which has been changed to ensure 1.0.2 users are made aware of the 1.0.2c update via the menu: Comic Life Magiq > Check for Updates...

This 1.0.2.1 update is recommended for all 1.0.2 users and fixes a serious saving issue introduced in 1.0.2 that caused images to be left out of the document.

If you're already running 1.0.2c (v10939) you can "Skip This Version".

Head to the plasq downloads page to get the 1.0.2.1 update or update from within Comic Life Magiq.

If you have a look under the Preferences, you'll see that you can set the resolution that filters are processed at. The reason for this preferences is that effects which involve a half-tone, only look good on screen at 72dpi, whereas obviously a higher DPI is required for print.

We'll look into giving you more flexibility on the subtlety of the effect -- your feedback is much appreciated!

 Re:pixelated images - 2008/05/18 18:01 Keith, If you're referring to the WYSIWYG tick box - as mentioned, I've tried this and all it does is output the image with a very subtle effect which is not usable at all.

I've tried to upload the screenshot, ut didn;t attach? I'll try again....

Sorry - I was using the Comic Life Magiq terminology.

Yes, the WYSIWYG is the correct menu.

Unfortunately, the effect is reliant on Core Image, which does not give as finite control as we may like. In Comic Life Magiq there are DPI options which helps, but we'll look into the issue.

I'm using Comic Life Deluxe 1.4.1 on a Macbook with 10.5.

I've the same problem: my pictures (originals are 3456 x 2304 px) are very prixelated: on screen, on print or with a export (all format: PDF,...). I've try to delete the .plist, to reinstall the soft, but I always have the same problem: I just cannot use now ComicLife. All outpouts are awfull pixelated.
