We are delighted to offer a beta of our upcoming Comic Life Magiq 1.0.3 update.
It has numerous stability and significant performance improvements over 1.0.2.1 - so we would love previous users to download and let us know if you come across any issues.
A free update for Comic Life Magiq is available for all users.
Identical to 1.0.2c in all but version number, which has been changed to ensure 1.0.2 users are made aware of the 1.0.2c update via the menu: Comic Life Magiq > Check for Updates...
This 1.0.2.1 update is recommended for all 1.0.2 users and fixes a serious saving issue introduced in 1.0.2 that caused images to be left out of the document.
If you're already running 1.0.2c (v10939) you can "Skip This Version".
Head to the plasq downloads page to get the 1.0.2.1 update or update from within Comic Life Magiq.
Comic Life is great for sharing those funny little moments from school, in the office, or while on worldwide progressive-rock-legends tours.
Robert Fripp and Tony Levin have been sharing the day-to-day stories of touring within one of the most influential prog rock bands - on King Crimson’s 40th Anniversary Tour.
Ever wished you had the fun of Comic Life handy at all times? Ever been out at a party, family gathering or on public transport and wished you could add your 'comic touch' to a photo? Now you can!
We're giggling with glee to announce Comic Touch for iPhone and iPod Touch. Add various speech balloons and captions to your photos. Choose a fun special effect to warp and bend your family and friends, then email the results to them!

I've just bought CL 1.3.5 and I must say I'm quite diappointed, having already used the Mac version.
I'm running it on XP / AMD sempron 3000+ / 1Gb RAM.
And I also find it generally slow.
- Especially when scrolling through a photo collection (even small). I hope that will be corrected soon, although it is a known issue since 1.3.4.
- Also the photo quality seems deteriorated when added to an album, I guess (hope) this diappears after export/print
- It crashed once too when browsing through the page templates
Hope these little flaws will be dealt with soon !

Hi Jamal,
Generally we recommend not to use a lot of shadows when you are working on a comic - but add them afterwards.
Some people have been known to create comics with 100 pages. Others prefer to create volumes of 10 to 15 pages to keep the speed up.
Are you using 1.4.1?
Best wishes.
Jamal Morelli
Once a Comic Life Project surpasses a certain number of pages, it becomes unworkably slow.
What do users do to speed up ComicLife?
Is there a way to automatically export half of a comicdoc document?

Thanks for purchasing Comic Life.
I am sorry you are having problems with Comic Life.

This is actually a known limitation and is listed here.
And the program crashes if there are too many pictures in the photos album (I know that you are working on this problem).
If you are getting a crash log please email that along with details of what is causing the crash to : clwinbeta@plasq.com
Apologies for the inconvenience.

That machine should be more then capable of running CL.
Our computers at school run them on something way worse, and I have not noticed any performance issues.
*I recommend you defrag your computer, and or run a virus and spyware scan.

I just bought the windows version of Comic Life. It is slow and bulky. What size machine did you test it on? I am running it on a Pentium 4 2.80 Ghz on 1 gig of ram.

I hope to see improvements to the overall responsiveness of this program very soon. It must be able to handle large amounts of graphics ... otherwise this program was a waste of my money and is useless as a "comic" book creation program.
