Hello guys at the plasq !

First of all, thank you for creating such a great tool.

I have tested it for this last couple of days,

and I must tell you that this is awsome.

I see so many challenges and success in the near future.

Indeed, this is the best plug-in 2005!

thanks Sniffio!

I would like to post these as a feedback for the Musolomo.

It contains a wishlist and a buglist.

Hope you guys can make good from any of it.

Good luck and Thanks !

Wishlist/

+As someone mentioned this in this forum,

I'm positive that Musolomo should have it's own "Clock".

We would like the domain of the tempo from us, triggered by us.

Not from Live4's click and loops.

It's better in Jazz that way.

As the guy in the forum already mentioned,

We're working on this. Let me know some of this things you might like to do. For example, we'd like to start a loop, and then after the first recording, make Live lock to the first recording.

I also thought that "Autolooper" feature would have synced

from the loop that was recorded in the very first "take".

I like to use the "No sync" for the Record and Play function.

As you can imagine, when I tried to overdub and creat a layer in that setting,

it gets out of sync so quickly.

I think a Tape Delay would be a good example for this kind of purpose.

it's coming!

Here is a link to the best plug-in I have ever used for those kind of tasks.

It is a Tape Delay AU, where you can trigger by your own pulses.

It will send & recieve midi clocks from anyways.

I use five of these in my Live4 to play around with the mixes.

Hope this helps.

Augustus Loop

http://www.collective.co.uk/expertsleepers/ augustusloop.html

+Can we evlove the "Stop Prior" to the art of the mixing level ?

can you explain more?

If we were able to chose the "takes", not just the prior one,

and were able to erase or call back any of that "takes",

That would be amazing.

I'm thinking about how to do this... how do we control them all?

musolomo DOES currently allow you to play all samples which were recorded by autolooper - they are mapped to keyboard notes chromatically.

"Seprater" which can delete and call back any "takes" with in Musolomo.

(or maybe Live4's Clips, too ? )

Something like "Autolooper" and "Digiskip" working together, I guess.

can you explain this a little better please?

+More inputs and outputs selectable would be nice.

If we were able to select certain "Takes" and send out to any external-internal outputs,

now that's fun for mixing in realtime.

musolomos audio engine can do this, we just haven't made it possible yet. As you may notice, not all hosts (eg logic) support multiple outs properly! Live is pretty good though. Currently musolomo does have one other audio output - this is currently used as 'audio feedback' for performance.

+Better CPU efficiency is needed.

I tried to do a similar set mentioned all of the above,

got AU sending my "own" midi signals to five different Musolomos

so that I could mix around with the sounds in sync.

But Live4's CPU meter will score around 67%,

which the audio is unhearable with all the glitches.

If we were able to disable certain features we don't use in Musolomo,

will that help reduce the power ? So far I can't think of how to use the "bo" feature.

the timstrechting is getting work, to sound better and less CPU. The constant drain is actually being created by the 'Freeze' function, even when not in use. We're working on solving this.

Similar things can be done with the Plug I just metioned earlier.

Augustus Loop can be loaded five of them, scoring around 22% of the CPU meter.

Since I'm a musician, my latency is set extremely low, 88 samples in 1ms.

PLZ check the plug out.

I've used it in the past, I'll give it another whirl.

here's another new one:

http://essej.net/sooperlooper/

I'm positive that both could work and evlove enormously in the near future.

+It would be great if we could set the function of the midi notes

on how we would like to trigger the samples.

Somthing like Trigger, Gate, Toggle, and Repeat in Live4 would be extremly nice.

We've been thinking about this. One thing to keep in mind is that we've been VERY VERY careful to reduce the amount of 'modalities' in musolomo...that is, 'modes' of operation. That's why recording requires you to hold down a note, rather than a 'record mode'. Althoug autolooper breaks this, we still try to avoid them.

Any ideas how to control them would be much appreciated. (aside form the Live model)

+In the setting level, it would be niceif we could see

what notes or CC numbers we assigned to control musolomo.

I tried to control the plug from both the midi keyboard

and the powerbook's computer keyboard.

Somehow I must have assigned two or three to the "Hold" function,

I always get messed around when playing the keyboard.

yup, we're aware of that one! it gets confusing!

remember, a double-command click can delete all settings for that variable,

And when feature like "hold""Record""Erase" is mapped to the midi keyboard's midi notes,

it will get messed around when playing the pitched notes of the samples.

I do not know if this is a bug.

But when the Autolooper is in use,I cannot record diffrent samples to assign to my keyboard.

I sometimes get the loops in the Autolooper pitched around

when pressing a random notes on this keyboard.

Sometimes it will erase the "takes" I had in the Autolooper.

Have to search around the keyboard to find where it went.

We'll look at that

+Would be great if we can assign midi's CC numbers to control the Musolomo.

But my tired memories says it can.

Bug lists/

+Auotlooper will stop or its takes will be erased when played with other notes and samples.

Is there anyway to call back these data? Sometimes when I search around my midi keyboard,

I could find the missing "takes".

I have only used the Autolooper function.

bug - working..

+There are certain noise coming from the Musolomo when tapping the tempo on Live4.

I have my mic's audio flowing into Musolomo,

and when this mic is turned off the noise will stop.

This only happens when I'm tapping on the Live4's tempo.

Will look into it

+Acoording to your fantastic Videos, you seem to have the XY controllers on the X-station.

I have two lotaries on my keyboard. One is only for the Pitch, and other for the Modulation.

Is is completely seprate. Just like any of the keyboards sold on the market.

I tried to assign one of them to "Timestrech" on musolomo, and other to the "Pitch shift".

Somehow only one task is assinable here. Both will move in one direction.

eg) two controlls assigned but both will only move the pitch shift in Y direction.

When I reassigned them, sometimes both will be assigned to Timestrech in X direction.

bug. fixed. coming soon

+When recording the samples on my midi notes, sometimes it has to be pressed twice or more

to launch it. It occasionally works but it's almost useless when "Autolooper" is ineffect.

Faster and better remapping of the samples would be nice.

suggestions welcome

+The "Record" is not assigned to C3 on factory settings.

I checked both on LIVE4 and Logic Pro7, and it's C2 and so on.

I think you might have mistaken with Roland's middle C as C4.

Live4 and Logic are basically Yamaha's middle C as C3.

But somehow the "Alternate" is assined on A1,C4 and D5(in your way,A2,C5 adn D6)

"Stop Prior" is assigned to B1,D4 and E6 (in your way, B2,D6 and E7)

Also "Hold" is only assigned to G1(in your way G2)

I haven't assigned anything from the start.

When did this become assigned ? Is this a bug ?

It's loaded from the Factory Presets and it is already assigned like above.

cheers, will look at that

I used Live4.1, OS10.3.5, Powerbook G4 1.5Ghz, 2GB for the test.

Well that is all I can come up for now.

As I said before, hope you can make out from any of it.

And big thanks to making music FUN.

This is exactly what we have been waiting for!

(I thought Live3 could do this. Boy, was I dissapointed)

Thanks to listening to us.

Thank you guys !
