Comic Life is great for sharing those funny little moments from school, in the office, or while on worldwide progressive-rock-legends tours.
Robert Fripp and Tony Levin have been sharing the day-to-day stories of touring within one of the most influential prog rock bands - on King Crimson’s 40th Anniversary Tour.
Ever wished you had the fun of Comic Life handy at all times? Ever been out at a party, family gathering or on public transport and wished you could add your 'comic touch' to a photo? Now you can!
We're giggling with glee to announce Comic Touch for iPhone and iPod Touch. Add various speech balloons and captions to your photos. Choose a fun special effect to warp and bend your family and friends, then email the results to them!
'Chocolate & Chat: Writing for Teens and Young Adults’ tour!
plasq is proud to announce that we are sponsoring authors
James McCann and
kc dyer on their 'Chocolate & Chat: Writing for Teens and Young Adults’ tour.
The tour will go through Western Canadian Rocky Mountains from July 7-15th, 2008, with stops in Banff, Calgary, Red Deer, Cochrane, Kamloops, Salmon Arm and Kelowna. Click here for tour dates.
If you live nearby make sure you go along and say "Hi" for us! You may also enter a draw to win a copy of Comic Life Magiq or Comic Life Deluxe at each stop!
You can follow the authors travels on their websites - James McCann and kc dyer - where they will be doing a comic for each stop when they have a chance, using - you guessed it - Comic Life!
By the way, if you're using Comic Life Magiq and want to make the white background drop out, change the Composite mode to "Multiply"

What a great resource - much thanks! I enjoyed your website. I am preparing for NECC 2008 pre-conference workshop in San Antonio and working on authentic student samples as well as paving the way for 21st century skills and NETS•S and content standards. May I include your site as part of the resource list? You will find that my www.digitales.us website has research-based scoring guides for digital products that may provide some assessment tools for comic-based comunication. The BIG question I try to share with teachers is not what tool (mode) they are using but scoring content based on purpose/audience AKA TYPE of communication being targeted!
thanks

What a great idea. I think I will do this for some of the "how-tos" I create for teachers.
My teachers LOVE using Comic Life to create newsletter, too!

A colleague and I created a web site for a Comic Life session we presented at a recent Institute Day. It contains many work examples, templates, student planning sheets, and links to resources. Hope it will be useful for some of you.
I teach at The Boys and Girls Clubs of America in Pasadean in the computer lab. We would like to use Comic Life as a tool on our 20 computers. Please let us know if you would grant us the software (on PC?)?

I am the elementary school librarian/computer guy. I have used Comic Life to prepare my substitute folder with instructions on how to check out books, log in to the computers and all the technical stuff that needs to be done if I am going to be out.
I also used it to prepare some plans for a sub when I was going to be out.
Very easy, extremely readable, easily understood and way cool!
