We are delighted to offer a beta of our upcoming Comic Life Magiq 1.0.3 update.
It has numerous stability and significant performance improvements over 1.0.2.1 - so we would love previous users to download and let us know if you come across any issues.
A free update for Comic Life Magiq is available for all users.
Identical to 1.0.2c in all but version number, which has been changed to ensure 1.0.2 users are made aware of the 1.0.2c update via the menu: Comic Life Magiq > Check for Updates...
This 1.0.2.1 update is recommended for all 1.0.2 users and fixes a serious saving issue introduced in 1.0.2 that caused images to be left out of the document.
If you're already running 1.0.2c (v10939) you can "Skip This Version".
Head to the plasq downloads page to get the 1.0.2.1 update or update from within Comic Life Magiq.

The biggest problem I had was not being able to read the dialogue/see the graphics of the wrapped wormhole plugin in pro tools.
To the person who had this working with a digi 001 and 6.4.1 LE, did you have the same problem with graphics?
My system:
Recieving end:
G4 400 1.25GB RAM
OS 10.3.9, Quicktime 6.5.2
PT 6.4.1 CS4
Mix Core expanded system
Transmitting end:
imac 2.16CTD
OS 10.5.6
Logic Pro 8.0.2
TC Electronic Studio Konnekt 48
Both systems are synced to a USD via wordclock. The USD is driven by a blackburst generator.
I also have the two systems synced with SMPTE, the Logic system is my sequencer, the Pro Tools system does the mixing and recording.
I did not have issues with sync this way with a crossover ethernet cable between the two machines, but did have random latency when using an ethernet switch.
Sorry about the 44,1/48kHz issue but in fact it is due to Vstack and not wormhole2 (I often work at 44,1kHz and so don't change it in Vstack but this is not able to lock in correctly with my soundcard when changing the samplerate. I must use another audio app to change it and relaunch vstack).

Hi,
Sorry to feedback so late but I didn't have time to test and my systems were very nasty (I change Panther -> Tiger, G4->G5, Digi001->AudiophileFW, and my PC had some reboot pb too) so too much changes to have an optimized setup.
The main issue I have with worhole is sync. As wh2 just send audio thru LAN by packet there no sync audio send though there is a sync option on the plug (this one is certainly done to sync multi instance of wh2 each others).
To have quite stable and non-randomized result :
- Audio Soundcard buffers MUST be the SAME in both computer to work well.
- wh2 buffer setting must be optimized (didn't find the right combi yet) I use the same buffer size for PT, all wh2 instances (in PT) and Vstack soundcard (echo Gina24)
- I must send MIDI beat clock from PT (Mac) into Vstack (PC) via my MIDI interface. It fixed the sync and/or random latency issue but I still need to push the play transport button in Vstack to be sure everything is in sync. But this solution is not the right thing to do 'cause it just sync when pushing play. After a certain among of time, some click can occurs. But it work during 4 or 5 minutes for multitrack feedback.
- I tried to send an audio sync in parallel through S/PDIF (PT->Vstack too) but I didn't noticed any improvement (need to perform more test). I still have to send MIDI beat clock + push play to get sync.
Other issue is wormhole doesn't send 48kHz audio and only 44,1 kHz:
- If I set different sample rate between both machines, it doesn't work and have audio cut every second.
- Even if I set both soundcards to 48kHz, wh2 (in PC-Vstack) seems to send 44100 audio samples resulting of higher pitch audio than it should be in PT. For me it's a bug because I managed to have the right pitch if I tick the 'Audio Through' option in Vstack and the wrong pitch into PT.
Conclusion, it is not perfect yet but can work at 44,1kHz (but 48kHz stuff has to be fixed).
About PT7, this one is quite instable but it is better now that I reinstalled OSX and REALLY disable both Dashboard and Spotlight. Need more test to do and to compare with 6.8. But you should wait for VstToRTAS v2 before using it with PT7.
Jerome
PS : can someone of plasq team (Adrian ?) contact me to talk about all those issues ? Thanks
RedEar
Anny new news on this? A PT7 version? Let us know. This would help a lot of PT users I think.
