The great screen capture, annotation and sharing service has all grownup, left the plasq stables and become its own fully fledged company.

For users this change will not affect you in any noticeable way - skitch.com is still the main home and some of the same people are working on it but you'll be seeing big things coming soon!

keith Hi there Soundman,

apolgies for the slow reply.

It seems you may have found a bug there.. we'll look into that and get back to you asap.

As you have so eloquently explained with your metaphor, it's actually quite a task to find a simple and reliable host for performing. The problem is that it's actually a very niche market, which means there is not a lot of economic resources to go 'round.

The other problem, as you hinted at, is the range of setup possibilities with MIDI devices, multiple controllers to a single synth, etc.

We'll look into that midi map problem.

thanks for your support!
soundman Bump
soundman To update above post, the map will work with the module when map is labeled 'autoload'. But will NOT load if it is labelled something else. It won't autoload or manually load. This is not what is written in the help. It is supposed to load a map that you select. It does not. Same when granted software had RAX. It seems like the new owners have done a lot of cosmetics on the gui but how about the meat and potatoes?

What if I need two separate maps for a synth because my controller doesn't have the faders or knobs to cover all the parameters?

But to be fair with plasq, I haven't found a single mac sequencer (yeah, I know what RAX ain't) to have a really usable remote control system. It's like the drugstores. There is not a single one in the city where I live that carries unwaxed floss. It's all this waxed cinnamin, mint shit. So I'm paranoid or simply frustrated and not understanding why developers can't get around remote control.
soundman I mapped BuzZer, a simple kind of synth, with my Axiom 49. Did all according to instructions. Saved map in App. Support/Rax. Reopened Rax, added BuzZer module and loaded the map I had saved and it does not work. Everything is as I mapped it. I'm no spring chicken with this stuff and I know what I'm doing, and I tell you the mapping function does not work...or am I flappin my wings?
