Comic Life Magiq 1.0.2.1 update released
A free update for Comic Life Magiq is available for all users.

Identical to 1.0.2c in all but version number, which has been changed to ensure 1.0.2 users are made aware of the 1.0.2c update via the menu: Comic Life Magiq > Check for Updates...

This 1.0.2.1 update is recommended for all 1.0.2 users and fixes a serious saving issue introduced in 1.0.2 that caused images to be left out of the document.

If you're already running 1.0.2c (v10939) you can "Skip This Version".

Head to the plasq downloads page to get the 1.0.2.1 update or update from within Comic Life Magiq.

Robert Hi Dave,

Good idea - it certainly would be useful for people making multi-page comics!

(added to the to-do list).

Best,

Robert.

Just tried it out, and yes, nice high resolution ... looks great!

Now - of course! - time for ... "May I have some more, please?"

Doing the .tiff export on a large test file shows that it takes quite some time to do the job. That's not a complaint, but it does make it troublesome to make small edits to the file ... the whole thing has to be reprocessed each time.

Would it be possible to have a 'From Page xx to Page xx' option in the Export dialogue box? Just like printer drivers do ...?
Welles Hi Robert,

I edit quite a few Plist files and always keep a backup of the original file in addition to my BBEdit mods. I figured that I'd have to re-edit the 1.0.1 version when it's released but I wanted to do a USC sized version (17 x 22) or 1224 -1584 in Plist-speak, so I tried it out in advance. CL launches and loads the new page size just fine in your last test-fix but I'll wait until v1.0.1 is officially released for starting my poster which has an intended delivery date of mid May.

Thanks for the advisory.
Robert Hi Welles,

Be warned that the file is likely to change so if you've added a special page type make sure you've saved it so you can add it back in when you get a new version. There are three new page types in the next version: CD Insert, CD Traycard and Super B (13 x 19).

Best,

Robert.

1.0.1 should be coming out today and that will have 300 dpi TIFF (LZW compressed) export which should be much smaller than the PDF file you're getting.

Yee Ha!

Between that and your tip on editing PageTypes.plist (http://plasq.com/component/option,com_simpleboard/Itemid,40/ func,view/id,437/catid,8/) and the 300 dpi TIFF, I'll have everything I've ever wanted in Comic Life!

Look forward to trying it!
