Comic Life Magiq 1.0.2.1 update released
A free update for Comic Life Magiq is available for all users.

Identical to 1.0.2c in all but version number, which has been changed to ensure 1.0.2 users are made aware of the 1.0.2c update via the menu: Comic Life Magiq > Check for Updates...

This 1.0.2.1 update is recommended for all 1.0.2 users and fixes a serious saving issue introduced in 1.0.2 that caused images to be left out of the document.

If you're already running 1.0.2c (v10939) you can "Skip This Version".

Head to the plasq downloads page to get the 1.0.2.1 update or update from within Comic Life Magiq.

Kramy Hi Helen,

Thanks for liking Comic Life so much and for listing some of the issues you had with Comic Life. Very much appreciated.

I'm pretty new at these things which shows how good the program is I think, as I was able to work out quite a lot before I realised there was a help guide!

Fantastic! Great work

(1) Crashed sometimes (when it happens

again, I'll try to spot a pattern as to why)

That would be excellent. Thanks.

(2) When I wanted to print after 12 pages it says Comic Life was out of memory [hence I have not nbeen able to print out a copy other than through the other export formats]

What size megapixel camera were you using? Does it throw up an error message? Could you please email this to clwinbeta@plasq.com along with your previous description (so I know what the screenshot relates too )

(3) the default font for the captions does not support accents ... I seemed to have to change the font for each page .. I expect there's a way of changing the default permanently? (e.g. to Comic Strip M).. if we were to use this in school, I'd like to be able to do this to encourage the pupils to use accents!

If you go to View > Options > Default Stylesheet - and change this too Built-in: plasq-intl. All new comics created will be able to have accents.

We are thinking of making this the default...

(4) I followed the instructions and double clicked a photo to try to remove it from the frame, but it didn't move

You need to double click it quickly. The frame should turn orange, and then you will have the picture selected.

(5) I seemed to stumble across being able to change the shape of the frames with the blue 'nodes' .. but then I couldn't work out why some frames seem to allow this and some don't .. I'm sure all these things are explained in the help section somewhere - I won't be upset if you just tell me to read it propoerly!!!

Once you drop in a frame, you then have to go to the Detail tab (top right) and then put a tick in "Irregular" box. The blue nodes will then appear.

I'll carry on playing .. and I'm going to try it out on some of my pupils when they've finished their exams - I'm sure they'll love it!

Great! Be sure to pass on any more feedback - remember, no silly questions... just silly answers So never be afraid to ask us any questions.

Thanks again.
Helen Thanks SO much for this .. I have really enjoyed playing around with it and have posted my efforts onto my website .. . if you want to see it, it's here:
