Comic Life Magiq 1.0.2.1 update released
A free update for Comic Life Magiq is available for all users.

Identical to 1.0.2c in all but version number, which has been changed to ensure 1.0.2 users are made aware of the 1.0.2c update via the menu: Comic Life Magiq > Check for Updates...

This 1.0.2.1 update is recommended for all 1.0.2 users and fixes a serious saving issue introduced in 1.0.2 that caused images to be left out of the document.

If you're already running 1.0.2c (v10939) you can "Skip This Version".

Head to the plasq downloads page to get the 1.0.2.1 update or update from within Comic Life Magiq.

Kramy Hello there peterdewolf,

In some rare circumstances the preferences file can get corrupted; this may be the problem.

Try trashing this file (you will need to reset your Comic Life preferences again).

1. Make sure you are not running Comic Life

2. Find the file ~/Library/Preferences/com.plasq.ComicLife.plist

(~ is the users directory)

10.4 users can just search for com.plasq.ComicLife.plist

Use show all

3. trash this file

4. restart comic life.

Does that fix it?
peterdewolf Just noticed this thread on PDFs so I posted a comic file to support, maybe they can shed some light on this, it's not working at the moment.

peterdewolf Crap, wouldn't let the file up[load, try again
peterdewolf Glad you're online. Can't get PDF export to work at all. Would be useful to be able to create vector output. I use Illustrator but the immediate availability of such creative readymade styles and options with this app is brilliant!

It's dead simple, two lines of words on one blank page. It exports fine to 'images' as a Tiff and PS opens it fine, Illustrator also opens it fine as Tiff . Exported as PDF, Preview just sees a white page, no artwork, just like Illustrator.

I've attached a file, long story, part of a Youth Driven anti-drugs campaign.
KeynoteKen What are you trying to export and what's your eventual result? Maybe I can try to recreate here.

If you open the file in Preview, what do you see?
peterdewolf HHMM, tried that, export as PDF and it produces a 4kb file, Illustrator will open an outline only of the file, sees it as a 'linked' file but I cannot get it to show the artwork even if I select 'preview' .

How are you getting this to work. ?
