Comic Life Magiq 1.0.2.1 update released
A free update for Comic Life Magiq is available for all users.

Identical to 1.0.2c in all but version number, which has been changed to ensure 1.0.2 users are made aware of the 1.0.2c update via the menu: Comic Life Magiq > Check for Updates...

This 1.0.2.1 update is recommended for all 1.0.2 users and fixes a serious saving issue introduced in 1.0.2 that caused images to be left out of the document.

RAX/Intel Crashes - 2006/06/20 15:50 Good Day, Good People!

I'm trying the 30day demo of RAX on my MBP 2.0 and I'm really exited. This program does exactly what i need for stage work!

My problem is that I get a lot of crashes. One easily reproduced for me is:

I create two songs with 4 AU's with dedicated presets for each song. Now, I switch back and forth, selecting song 1,2,1,2 etc.
On my third return to song 2 I only see one AU and it is now a "half rack" in size. I select song 1 and RAX crashes.

Any suggestions?

Thanks In Advance,

Erik Sojdelius

Re:RAX/Intel Crashes - 2006/06/20 17:58 hi there Erik

Glad you like Rax 2.0

I can't seem to be able to reproduce your problem.

Are these AU instruments or Effects?
What are the exact Audio Units?

by presets, do you mean presets you have created within another host and then reloaded into the AU within rax?

hopefully we can get this sorted

Re:RAX/Intel Crashes - 2006/06/20 18:45 Hey Keith, thanks for the quick response!

These are AU instruments, and I suspect they could be the culprit...

As you know, very few AU's are available for intel so what I have is:

Stylus RMX (beta)
Automat
Chrystal
Zebra2 (Demo)

I'm sure you know all of them.

The thing is, they all are pretty stable for me in Logic Pro 7.2.1 on this machine (Intel). The only thing I've noticed so far is that the RMX beta seems to be broken with multiple out's.

By Presets I mean presets I created in each AU with RAX as the host. Haven't tried loading presets created with Logic or Live yet. Are you saying that this could be a problem? Please dont say that as this would be my main use of RAX...(Porting sounds from my album productions to my keyboard player on stage).

Tell me, are you running RAX on a intel machine when you try to reproduce my issue?

Thanx again,

Erik

Re:RAX/Intel Crashes - 2006/06/20 20:42 hello again Erik

I don't have an intel mac with me here, but I'll get another plasqer to look into that on an intel machine asap.

presets should load correctly between hosts.

Re:RAX/Intel Crashes - 2006/06/20 21:25 Could you try your settings without any beta plugins?

Do you use any AU effects?

also, do you have the most recent version (just download it and install)
