Comic Life for Windows and Comic Life for Mac have both been recently updated.

You may find the release notes for Comic Life for Windows (1.3.6) here and Comic Life for Mac (1.4.3) here.

This update is also for the Deluxe version.

Comic Life Magiq 1.0.3 Beta released
We are delighted to offer a beta of our upcoming Comic Life Magiq 1.0.3 update.

It has numerous stability and significant performance improvements over 1.0.2.1 - so we would love previous users to download and let us know if you come across any issues.

Comic Life Magiq 1.0.2.1 update released
A free update for Comic Life Magiq is available for all users.

Identical to 1.0.2c in all but version number, which has been changed to ensure 1.0.2 users are made aware of the 1.0.2c update via the menu: Comic Life Magiq > Check for Updates...

This 1.0.2.1 update is recommended for all 1.0.2 users and fixes a serious saving issue introduced in 1.0.2 that caused images to be left out of the document.

If you're already running 1.0.2c (v10939) you can "Skip This Version".

Head to the plasq downloads page to get the 1.0.2.1 update or update from within Comic Life Magiq.

 How do I get rid of latency? - 2008/09/23 21:29 Hello,

My setup is a mac (main host), connected to a PC (vst effects and instruments) via a gigabyte LAN.
The mac is connected to a fireface 800. The Pc is using the onboard audio from a gigabyte mobo.
Using the program MidiOverLan CP, I am trying to play a vst instrument (which is only available for PC), from a midi keyboard which is connected to the mac.
When using WH2 to get the audio generated by the VSTi back into mac, there is alot of latency which I can not get rid of.

The buffer size in cubase (mac) is 128 samples. The lowest buffer size I can get on the Pc is 512.

I would like to run the mac as my main sequencer and use the PC for vst effects and instruments.

Does the PC require a better audiocard?

How do I get rid of the latency?

I would most appreciate any help or advise anyone can give me on this.

 Re:How do I get rid of latency? - 2008/09/24 12:19 If you're triggering virtual instruments via midi, you can nudge the midi tracks for them earlier to compensate for the latency.

To measure latency, send a midi note to the PC(trigger a percussive sound), then record audio from it on the mac. measure the distance between the beginning of the midi note and the initial peak of the audio(just select the area in between them)

the length of this area you just selected is how far you need to nudge your midi tracks back. The most precise way to measure it is obviously in samples.

You can also use a similar method to compensate for effects, but this can get complicated in a hurry because effects will all have different amounts of delay depending on what they are.
