We are delighted to offer a beta of our upcoming Comic Life Magiq 1.0.3 update.
It has numerous stability and significant performance improvements over 1.0.2.1 - so we would love previous users to download and let us know if you come across any issues.
A free update for Comic Life Magiq is available for all users.
Identical to 1.0.2c in all but version number, which has been changed to ensure 1.0.2 users are made aware of the 1.0.2c update via the menu: Comic Life Magiq > Check for Updates...
This 1.0.2.1 update is recommended for all 1.0.2 users and fixes a serious saving issue introduced in 1.0.2 that caused images to be left out of the document.
If you're already running 1.0.2c (v10939) you can "Skip This Version".
Head to the plasq downloads page to get the 1.0.2.1 update or update from within Comic Life Magiq.

DP4.5 - no sound-Adrian, help please - 2005/07/19 18:46In DP4.5, I can get an effect loop from a second computer to work fine. But if the second computer is the audio source, rather than just the effector, I cannot get sound from Difital Performer. The Audio oight shows signal reachingwh2, but nothing comes oujt of DP. I have the wh2 plug in an insert in an audio channel.
What am I doing wrong (Second computer is signal sourcge-direct start, DP channel insert is direct -end. Help, please.
Re:DP4.5 - no sound-Adrian, help please - 2005/07/30 08:48Same problem here, but with Logic Pro 7 on a G5 Dual 1,8 GHz and PC with V-Stack. I can network audio from Logic to V-Stack, but not from V-Stack to Logic. The audio is sended to the right IP address of the G5, but in the G5, WormHole info tells : "not connected". I would sort it out before buying a product that could not work properly. Did we miss something, Adrian, or is there something wrong with the application ? Any clues ?
Many thanks by advance for your answer All the best from France
Re:DP4.5 - no sound-Adrian, help please - 2005/07/31 02:55Hi Piwhy,
This can have multiple reasons. It seems everything is working ok in V-Stack otherwise the audio wouldn't be sent to the right address. It's possible the G5 blocks the audio traffic for some reason (check firewall settings, please).
Or maybe you are trying to use WH2 on a normal audio track in Logic and Logic isn't really sending anything to WH2. (Then the plugin would display "Host is not sending audio to Wormhole" however.
It's a small instrument-plugin which doesn't do anything but feed 0s to the following plugins. It can be used to make Logic really calculate Plugins placed after it. To use it, add it to your components folder, start logic and make an instrument channel with DummyInst on it. Then use Wh2 on that (alternatively, use WH2 on an input track in Logic (these are always on).
For network checkup, go to System Preferences / Sharing and check the status of the Firewall
Re:DP4.5 - no sound-Adrian, help please - 2005/08/01 13:09Many thanks for your answer. Following your recommandations, it works !
1. I tested the reception of the G5 with MIDIoverLAN, and it didn't worked, so I understood that it wasn't WormHole's fault. 2. I changed the network parameters to make the connection work. A lot of tweak, but not all was clear, alas. In the end, I made twice the same settings, and it worked only the second time. 3. I inserted your "Dummy Intrument" in an AudioInstrument channel, before WormHole, and Logic received the audio from the PC (V-Stack) ! 4. I tried without Dummy Instrument on an Audio Input channel, and it worked again
A good solution is to use the External Logic plug-in (which is an AudioInst as the EXS24, in the Logic plug-ins menu) : 1. Open an AudioInstrument track 2. Open the "External" AudioInstrument 3. Choose the MIDIoverLAN NetPort destination (or classical MIDI connection) 2. Open WormHole plug-in as an insert effect plug-in and select the appropriate channel streamed from the external computer.
Dasher, I hope these posts will help you. If not, now that it works with Logic Pro, I'll see if I can test it with DP 4.56. Keep us informed.
Anyway, thanks for your support and consideration, and congratulation for this product.
Re:DP4.5 - no sound-Adrian, help please - 2005/08/02 20:24Piwby, glad tyo see it's working for you. Right now, I'm having LAN issues, but now I have both midiOverLAN and Wormhole2 working. I'm not happy with the performance of wh2 in my network, but that does not appear to be the program, it's something going on in one of my boxes and I haven't had time to track it down. My premium DSL line is like 2400 baud, and none of the music machines are running, so it's not mol or wh2, tho it could be a RIP and SAP issue, I'm just too busy right now to look at it - it's cool, I'll either get to it or upgrade everything to GBit...
