velvet Visitor	can not load WH2 in Cubase SX3 - 2006/09/06 05:21 Hi. I copied WH2 dll to my VST Plugins folder but I can not open the plugin in Cubase. It doas nothing and whenever I update the list of plugins, Wormhole is on brown background which means "unloadable " in Cubase. ??? System: Toshiba Sattelite , Intel Pentium Mobile 1,7 Ghz, 512 MB RAM. Internal sound device Cubase SX3.02 PS it worked in my desktop PC - I had a succesfull Mac-to PC Wormhole network, however I did not use it because of the clicks everytime audiofile started to be played in LogicPro (plugins were inserted in Cubase SX...)

Re:can not load WH2 in Cubase SX3 - 2006/09/06 18:05 I assume you can't open it in any other host on that machine. This probably means you are missing some dlls on that system which WH2 requires (until the next minor upgrade). Usually the missing one are msvcr70.dll and/or msvcr71.dll. They should be in windows/system32. An easy way to get it properly installed is to (re)install .net 1.1 which you can download from here: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx? FamilyID=262d25e3-f589-4842-8157-034d1e7cf3a3&displaylang=en

P.S.: these artefacts are caused by how logic pro handles plugins. Unfortunately it just stops processing between audio regions without telling the plugin what happens. To avoid problems make sure all audio regions end with some silence or just merge tracks to only contain one audio region. Even better.. use a bus and feed it some silence from an instrument to make sure logic does not stop calling processing for the plugins.

If you get the MSVCR71.dll error then you need to install that dll into the system. It should be included f.i. in .net 1.1. However it is also available as a separate download from many online sources (just google). It has to go into /Windows/System32. If MSVCR71.dll is missing, you'll most likely also won't have MSVCP71.dll which is also needed.
