Comic Life packs a lot of 'Brawn'!
Cranium Comics has recently launched their first four color comic, Brawn #1.

"I used Comic Life on my Mac exclusively to lay out the storyboards, then later when I created and colored all 24 pages of the issue," recounted Anthony Rezendes, the owner of Cranium Comics and co-creator of Brawn.

The comic 'Brawn' focuses on a dockworker named Sam Ross who was reborn as the hero "Brawn" after he was nearly killed in a drunk driving accident.

"Being an illustrator, it saved me quite a bit of time from having to lay all the text bubbles out manually. It made the process of actually creating the comic that much more enjoyable," Mr. Rezendes added.

We think this comic is great! So check out 'Brawn' on the Cranium Comics site or read the first 5 pages on our Comic Life gallery.

Sqreensavers and Leopard - 2007/10/31 01:50 Hey, your Gene screen saver has been my absolute favourtie for ages, however, under leopard its acting kind of funny. it only appears on my secondary monitor and all the shapes are kind of translucent squares and sometimes the red color turns more to a blue. I'm not really sure whats up but if you guys could take a look on leopard and update them I would be ecstatic!
Thanks
Kevin

Re:Sqreensavers and Leopard - 2007/10/31 08:27 Hi Kevin,

Glad you like the sqreensavers!

In Leopard, Apple has made some major changes to the Quartz Composer architecture, which affects the sqreensavers. Fixing the few minor problems is on our to-do list.

That particular one used a special trick on the graphics card, which Apple may have now prevented working.

So, if you have any requests for new screensavers, then we're always keen for ideas

Re:Sqreensavers and Leopard - 2007/12/12 15:40 Damn shame. Just updated to leopard (MacBook Pro) and noticed that gene is busted under Leopard.

Gene has been my longest running screensaver and I love it. (Usually, I change screensavers every few weeks, but Gene is so impressive, I've kept it for about 5 months now. It's been the best screensaver (so far) to show off the Mac's graphics.

Looking forward to a fix, but I understand you've got lots of other stuff keeping you busy for now.

Cheers from Sydney,
matt

Re:Sqreensavers and Leopard - 2007/12/12 20:18 Hi matthk,

Thanks for the heads up... after looking over it, it may in fact be a bug in 10.5, but unortunately I can't see a simple workaround..

Appreciate the kind words - hopefully we'll get some time to make some new, cool screensavers for you in the future!

/Keith
