The way I've set things up, which is working well, is to use a bus as the sidechain input for Musolomo. Then send to the bus from whatever you want to sample.

Note that in Logic, if you record enable a track, the corresponding input object will have its sends disabled in favour of the record-enabled track's sends. Auxes with input sources can be used instead of input objects to avoid this if required.

I've cabled up a Logic environment so I can hold down a pad on the microKONTROL then hit a note to select which audio object sends to the musolomo sidechain bus, for input control from the keyboard. The microKONTROL makes quite a nice wee controller for musolomo.

Sorry John, I hit enter too fast when quoting your message.

Your idea about SEND to BUS is brillant and as long as logic doesn't handle PAN on SEND there is no risk to unbalance the signal sent to musolomo.

Re:"incoming" audio in logic7 - 2006/05/08 20:52 I'm completely lost, and I haven't even started.
The manual says

Apple Logic Pro musolomo setup: Put Musolomo in an instrument channel. Then use sidechain to select the audio track that will be used to send AUDIO to Musolomo. The Musolomo track must be the currently selected one in order to receive MIDI.

How do you do this, when Musolomo doesn't give you the option to choose a sidechain, like the other AU plugins?

Re:"incoming" audio in logic7 - 2006/05/09 14:24 Oh I see;

I was opening it as a plug in effect, not an input object.

It works!
