Comic Life is great for sharing those funny little moments from school, in the office, or while on worldwide progressive-rock-legends tours.
Robert Fripp and Tony Levin have been sharing the day-to-day stories of touring within one of the most influential prog rock bands - on King Crimson’s 40th Anniversary Tour.

We're giggling with glee to announce Comic Touch for iPhone and iPod Touch. Add various speech balloons and captions to your photos. Choose a fun special effect to warp and bend your family and friends, then email the results to them!

Cranium Comics has recently launched their first four color comic, Brawn #1.
"I used Comic Life on my Mac exclusively to lay out the storyboards, then later when I created and colored all 24 pages of the issue," recounted Anthony Rezendes, the owner of Cranium Comics and co-creator of Brawn.
The comic 'Brawn' focuses on a dockworker named Sam Ross who was reborn as the hero "Brawn" after he was nearly killed in a drunk driving accident.
"Being an illustrator, it saved me quite a bit of time from having to lay all the text bubbles out manually. It made the process of actually creating the comic that much more enjoyable," Mr. Rezendes added.
We think this comic is great! So check out 'Brawn' on the Cranium Comics site or read the first 5 pages on our Comic Life gallery.
Comic Life Beta - 2007/05/15 02:47Thanks SO much for this .. I have really enjoyed playing around with it and have posted my efforts onto my website .. . if you want to see it, it's here: http://www.all-london.org.uk/arsenal_may07.htm
I'm pretty new at these things which shows how good the program is I think, as I was able to work out quite a lot before I realised there was a help guide! Forgive me if the solutions are obvious - but the things I came across were:
(1) Crashed sometimes (when it happens again, I'll try to spot a pattern as to why) (2) When I wanted to print after 12 pages it says Comic Life was out of memory [hence I have not nbeen able to print out a copy other than through the other export formats] (3) the default font for the captions does not support accents ... I seemed to have to change the font for each page .. I expect there's a way of changing the default permanently? (e.g. to Comic Strip M).. if we were to use this in school, I'd like to be able to do this to encourage the pupils to use accents! (4) I followed the instructions and double clicked a photo to try to remove it from the frame, but it didn't move (5) I seemed to stumble across being able to change the shape of the frames with the blue 'nodes' .. but then I couldn't work out why some frames seem to allow this and some don't .. I'm sure all these things are explained in the help section somewhere - I won't be upset if you just tell me to read it propoerly!!!
I'll carry on playing .. and I'm going to try it out on some of my pupils when they've finished their exams - I'm sure they'll love it!
Re:Comic Life Beta - 2007/05/15 15:05Hi Helen, Thanks for liking Comic Life so much and for listing some of the issues you had with Comic Life. Very much appreciated.

Fantastic! Great work
(1) Crashed sometimes (when it happens again, I'll try to spot a pattern as to why)
That would be excellent. Thanks.
(2) When I wanted to print after 12 pages it says Comic Life was out of memory [hence I have not nbeen able to print out a copy other than through the other export formats]
What size megapixel camera were you using? Does it throw up an error message? Could you please email this to clwinbeta@plasq.com along with your previous description (so I know what the screenshot relates too )
(3) the default font for the captions does not support accents ... I seemed to have to change the font for each page .. I expect there's a way of changing the default permanently? (e.g. to Comic Strip M).. if we were to use this in school, I'd like to be able to do this to encourage the pupils to use accents!
If you go to View > Options > Default Stylesheet - and change this too Built-in: plasq-intl. All new comics created will be able to have accents. We are thinking of making this the default...
(4) I followed the instructions and double clicked a photo to try to remove it from the frame, but it didn't move
You need to double click it quickly. The frame should turn orange, and then you will have the picture selected.
(5) I seemed to stumble across being able to change the shape of the frames with the blue 'nodes' .. but then I couldn't work out why some frames seem to allow this and some don't .. I'm sure all these things are explained in the help section somewhere - I won't be upset if you just tell me to read it propoerly!!!
Once you drop in a frame, you then have to go to the Detail tab (top right) and then put a tick in "Irregular" box. The blue nodes will then appear.
I'll carry on playing .. and I'm going to try it out on some of my pupils when they've finished their exams - I'm sure they'll love it!
Great! Be sure to pass on any more feedback - remember, no silly questions... just silly answers So never be afraid to ask us any questions.
