Comic Life packs a lot of 'Brawn'!
Cranium Comics has recently launched their first four color comic, Brawn #1.

"I used Comic Life on my Mac exclusively to lay out the storyboards, then later when I created and colored all 24 pages of the issue," recounted Anthony Rezendes, the owner of Cranium Comics and co-creator of Brawn.

The comic 'Brawn' focuses on a dockworker named Sam Ross who was reborn as the hero "Brawn" after he was nearly killed in a drunk driving accident.

"Being an illustrator, it saved me quite a bit of time from having to lay all the text bubbles out manually. It made the process of actually creating the comic that much more enjoyable," Mr. Rezendes added.

We think this comic is great! So check out 'Brawn' on the Cranium Comics site or read the first 5 pages on our Comic Life gallery.

Do I loose copyright on comic books? - 2008/04/21 22:19 I am wondering if by using the comic book life software and then using artwork of my own and my own writing do I loose any copyrights to said material by using your software? I had heard that comic book creator, had some kinf od clause in the eula that says you loose copyright by simply using the program because of the templates ect.

I am hoping that is not true with comic life.

Re:Do I loose copyright on comic books? - 2008/04/22 09:12 Hi Strickalator,

You retain all the copyright to any comics/ other work you create with Comic Life or use Comic Life in conjunction with.

I hope that clarifies this for you

Re:Do I loose copyright on comic books? - 2008/04/22 09:18 Just to clarify - We cannot speak for any other application's EULA. If you used some Comic Life elements in another application which is making claims on the end copyright, then we have no control over that, and their EULA may affect your copyright.

But here at plasq we care about your copyright, and we want you to keep it! Comic Life, as per all plasq products, claims no copyright on the works created with it.

Hope that helps!

Re:Do I loose copyright on comic books? - 2008/04/22 13:13 [b]This is great to know. All of my work is written by me and drawn by my friend who is an artist.

I am not using any other software at this point and have just downloaded the trial of your software and I intend to purchase the deluxe version.

Good to know I can use your application and still be able to publish. Thanks very much.
