Cranium Comics has recently launched their first four color comic, Brawn #1.
"I used Comic Life on my Mac exclusively to lay out the storyboards, then later when I created and colored all 24 pages of the issue," recounted Anthony Rezendes, the owner of Cranium Comics and co-creator of Brawn.
The comic 'Brawn' focuses on a dockworker named Sam Ross who was reborn as the hero "Brawn" after he was nearly killed in a drunk driving accident.
"Being an illustrator, it saved me quite a bit of time from having to lay all the text bubbles out manually. It made the process of actually creating the comic that much more enjoyable," Mr. Rezendes added.
We think this comic is great! So check out 'Brawn' on the Cranium Comics site or read the first 5 pages on our Comic Life gallery.
SN not eligible for Cross-grade - 2008/05/29 03:14I bought a Tiger Powerbook G4 1.67 ghz with Comic Life bundled. The S/N validator tells me that I'm not eligible for a crossgrade license. I emailed support a week ago and haven't received a reply.
FYI Omni Development sold me upgrades to Graffle Pro and Outliner with the same S/N. It should be valid.

Re:SN not eligible for Cross-grade - 2008/05/29 19:18Hi there Dennis,
<I sent an email on the 22nd of May, and again 28th using 2 different ISP servers, sorry it did not arrive. And more recently with your latest email that you sent in the last 2 hours.>
Thanks for contacting us.
Comic Life was only released on 13 April 2005 and it seems your Mac was sold during March 2005. Also, and more importantly, Comic Life only started coming bundled with new intel-based Macs in January, 2006.
So I am not sure what has happened...

Re:SN not eligible for Cross-grade - 2008/06/02 13:38I checked my spam filters and couldn't find your replies. You're right about the Mac intel.....it came bundled with my Macbook. I gave my Powerbook to my g/f, but I took some of the bundled software because she was never going to use it. It's probably a grey area but I was using some of my bundled software for awhile and then switched to an intel and formatted my Powerbook (without the bundled software) to give away.
However, the validator page located here is misleading (and is what made me think that it came with the Powerbook instead).
...it shows the exact model of my Powerbook G4. Again, very misleading because that model of Mac will not be a valid s/n for the crossgrade.
I checked my Macbook s/n and it validates so all is well. I just was a little TO'd after not being acknowledged on the forum (and then never finding your emails even after digging through my spam). Since I got the confirmation emails, I doubt that my filters would've zapped your actual replies, but I could be wrong. I apologize for the flame. I don't expect to ever get a reply from people like Adobe or even Apple (sometimes) but I do expect smaller companies to take better care of their customers.... especially the proactive ones that are willing to put in more effort chasing down bugs and incompatibilities.
