Comic Life Magiq 1.0.2.1 update released
A free update for Comic Life Magiq is available for all users.

Identical to 1.0.2c in all but version number, which has been changed to ensure 1.0.2 users are made aware of the 1.0.2c update via the menu: Comic Life Magiq > Check for Updates...

This 1.0.2.1 update is recommended for all 1.0.2 users and fixes a serious saving issue introduced in 1.0.2 that caused images to be left out of the document.

If you're already running 1.0.2c (v10939) you can "Skip This Version".

Head to the plasq downloads page to get the 1.0.2.1 update or update from within Comic Life Magiq.

First off - I presume when you say "cadre" this is referring to "panels"?

#1: Comic Life does have different shaped panels, although at this stage, it is a little bit tricky to find.
Insert the standard panel, then up the top on the Right hand side there is a Details tab. Click that. In there you can change the frame style type (from an Oval to a Scroll). Plus there is also heaps of other options to play with in here, not just for panels but for other picture styles and lettering.

#2: You will be about to rotate panels in version 1.3 of Comic Life Not too sure on release date of 1.3 though.

 Re:Import new template shapes - 2006/12/22 10:54 Yes. Comic Life is lots of fun, but I have already found myself wanting to be able to design a panel AND a page template in Illustrator and import them into CL.

Here is why... I designed a page comprised of five panels aligned horizontally. Each panel is half the width of the one next to it until the last panel is a sliver. To properly balance the design, I wanted to have the ability to control the distance between each panel and distribute them evenly across the page. Both of these tasks are trivial in Illustrator, but currently impossible in CL.
