A free update for Comic Life Magiq is available for all users

This 1.0.2c update fixes a serious save issue introduced in 1.0.2 that caused images to be left out of the document.

'Chocolate & Chat: Writing for Teens and Young Adults’ tour!

 Great App! - 2005/04/17 08:21 This is a Kick @$$ app! After downloading the demo I was up until 3:00am playing with all the dials & knobs! I was so impressed I've already bought my copy!

I did have a couple of questions though. When working with the lettering options, the outline count seems to be stuck on three. I can't adjust it either way. Is this a bug or an unimplimented feature? Also the library previews for image files in the finder seem to take a long time to load.

I'm Running a G4 with OS 10.3.9

Other than that, I think this is a very impressive 1.0 version, Great job!

The lettering outline bug is fixed (along with a few others) in this build:

The Finder browser is slow because it's trying to make thumbnails from any images it finds (and some can be very large). We're looking into options for speeding this up - I guess one option is to have a preference where you can turn off Finder image loading and load it on demand...

For the finder slow down I was thinking that adding a list view like the OS finder has would work.

I've also noticed that it really doesn't seem to remember folders or files that I've visited in a previous session, and reloads everything again. so maybe some way of caching the file previews would help also? I don't know if that is possible.

I really do like the program, though I wish it had come along about 10 years ago!
