File Bloat? - 2005/05/09 09:33
Hi, Plasqeteers -
I just peeked inside one of my .comic files (by examining package contents). It's neat that Comic Life "packs" the full-size image into the Images folders, so you can always resize it.
However, I notice that Comic Life also retains a number of images that no longer appear in the comic. This may have happened because I dragged several different photos into one panel. I was just playing around, trying to find the best picture for each panel. And since the old picture disappeared each time I inserted a new one, I just assumed the first photo had been deleted.
But it turns out they're still in the file! This has the effect of adding several unneeded megabytes to the overall file size.
Is it possible to have Comic Life discard old photos as new ones are inserted over them? If not, is it safe for me to go into the .comic package and delete them manually?
Thanks, Adam
