Custom Page Layouts and Guides - 2008/05/20 04:21
I have a question regarding the RED SAFE AREA dotted margin around the page.
I'm doing a comic that I'm planning to send to Comixpress for printing, and I was originally laying out the comic using the built-in Comic Mini page layout, but when I did test prints, I noticed it was 1/2" too short (7.5in instead of 8in).
I made a custom layout with the following dimensions: 378 Wide by 594 Tall with 9 point margins all around (the page dimensions take into account the page bleed of .125" all around).
My question is how the RED SAFE AREA is determined based on these settings. Is this based on the margin setting or is it a true SAFE AREA within the 5"x8" page? Is there a way to show guides for both the "Safe" area as well as the edge of the page so that bleeds can be properly done?
Thanks for a great product!
