Thank you very much for your help testing the future!

Comic Life Magiq 1.0.2.1 update released
A free update for Comic Life Magiq is available for all users.

Identical to 1.0.2c in all but version number, which has been changed to ensure 1.0.2 users are made aware of the 1.0.2c update via the menu: Comic Life Magiq > Check for Updates...

This 1.0.2.1 update is recommended for all 1.0.2 users and fixes a serious saving issue introduced in 1.0.2 that caused images to be left out of the document.

If you're already running 1.0.2c (v10939) you can "Skip This Version".

Head to the plasq downloads page to get the 1.0.2.1 update or update from within Comic Life Magiq.

Re:Major Stablity Issues - 2008/05/25 05:46 Hi,

I too have wasted money buying this buggy program!

Takes ages to load. It's unstable and really just COMIC LIFE with a few add ones.

Will NOT PRINT to my Lexmark 532N Laser no matter what I do.

And I spent hours creating templates and various sheets only for it to crash.... losing all my work.

It has been released way, way too early !

I and anyone else dumb enough to buy it. We are Beta testers who pay for the privalige......

Re:Major Stablity Issues - 2008/05/25 07:06 Hi Sid,

I'm sorry to hear you've had such a bad experience with Comic Life Magiq.

I understand how frustrating it can be to buy something and then find it doesn't work for you, or worse loses some of your work. We're working with Apple now to solve this issue, as it's quite deeply system related. Our beta testing period had not uncovered any of these stability problems that some users have experienced. We're sorry that some people have experienced such problems and are working hard to solve them.

Please DO contact us directly via http://plasq.com/support/ and we'll work with you personally to solve these crashing and printing issues.

Many thanks for your patience,

Keith

Re:Major Stablity Issues - 2008/05/26 10:22 I got the "application is not responding" thing... after I trashed the stuff in my "sites" folder .. as I wanted to update the site but it didn't appear to work the first time. Seeing as I had only 1 comic in the folder, I thought I'd just trash it and start again.

It does appear to work if I drag an comic onto the application icon in the dock.

Trashing the prefs (com.plasq.ComicLifeMagiq.plist) seems to have fixed it .. at least it starts up now.

Hope that helps.

Re:Major Stablity Issues - 2008/05/26 23:51 Me too! It is VERY unstable. Often the simplest things, like altering the size of a text, cause 30 seconds of beach-ball, then crash! I've read elsewhere that there are problems with PPC (which is what my machine is). Are they fixed yet? Is there an update in the offing?
However, having said that, it is such a fantastic piece of software, I am willing to wait for a stability fix...but, please hurry!

Re:Major Stablity Issues - 2008/05/27 03:08 Hi,

No I have no font manager but I have lots of fonts installed from various free websites. E.g. PIZZA-DUDE fonts.

We've found and fixed an issue affecting some PPC users, many thanks to reports sent in - will be available in the next update.
