Comic Life Classic -v- Magiq? Help. - 2008/06/06 03:05
New user here.
I'm not sure if I need Comic Life (Classic) or Comic Life Magiq.
I've downloaded both demos. It appears that the CL Classic demo is the "Standard" version with fewer templates / fonts / styles than the Deluxe version.
On the other hand, the Magiq demo has a boatload of templates / styles / fonts. More than I can really grok as a new user.
At the base I'm unable to effectively compare Classic to Magic because the demos are not peer-level products.
Here's what I want to know...
1) Which has more templates / fonts / styles, CL Deluxe or CL Magiq? 2) Where can I find a product comparison chart of the various flavors of Comic Life (Standard, Deluxe, Magiq)? 3) Is there a list of the fonts / styles / templates included with each version?
At first blush it's looking like Comic Life Deluxe is the right way for me to go. I don't think I need all the additional bells and whistles of Magiq (image editor, etc... actually reminds me of Kai's software from way back when), but if that choice results in fewer templates / styles / fonts, then I'd have to rethink my options.
So, I'm looking for clarity which could be provided by a real product comparison chart similar to this one for Quicken (http://quicken.intuit.com/compare_products.jhtml) or this one for Adobe Acrobat (http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/matrix.html)
It's probably obvious that a robust library of styles, etc. is a primary feature for me. Secondary to that would be the ability to design/import my own styles.
Any guidance?
Thanks.
