Big Random Latency problem - 2008/07/24 01:00
I'm trying to use WH2 outside the host software(cubase studio 4, on Windows XP), inside EnergyXT, therefore with host and server on the same PC. They are both accessing the same ASIO driver by using Karl Steinberg's free ASIO multiclient software.
I'm am using it in direct mode, for instruments, not the effects loop mode.
It works ok at first, but in reaction to any editing in Cubase or audio hiccups it very quickly starts producing a long audible latency (although latency and buffer readings on wormhole gui's read zero). It can be reset by quickly switching 'Constrain Latency Compensation' on and off in Cubase, but it happens too often for Wormhole to be useable.
Any idea about possible solutions before I give up?
