Comic Life Magiq 1.0.2.1 update released
A free update for Comic Life Magiq is available for all users.

Identical to 1.0.2c in all but version number, which has been changed to ensure 1.0.2 users are made aware of the 1.0.2c update via the menu: Comic Life Magiq > Check for Updates...

This 1.0.2.1 update is recommended for all 1.0.2 users and fixes a serious saving issue introduced in 1.0.2 that caused images to be left out of the document.

If you're already running 1.0.2c (v10939) you can "Skip This Version".

Head to the plasq downloads page to get the 1.0.2.1 update or update from within Comic Life Magiq.

Saved Comic Won't Load - 2008/07/28 03:17 When I load a previously saved comic, most of the pages show in the top thumbnail bar but they don't load fully in the work area of the application. The backgrounds and the lettering portions show up but not the pictures that I brought over from iphoto. I can only see some of the photos when I hold down the mouse and scroll along the bottom bar. When I export the images, they only show up as blank pages. I am using Comic Life Magiq 1.0.2 and my OS is 10.5.4. I have been saving the files to my desktop. I would attach the file for you but it is grayed out when I attempt to attach it. Please help!!!

Re:Saved Comic Won't Load - 2008/07/28 05:15 Same problem here. After minutes of work, saving the file so that I can work on it later, but same problem here. Opening a file takes forever. And when it has finally loaded half of it is missing.

Whatever I try, this problem remains.

Re:Saved Comic Won't Load - 2008/07/28 23:19 same problem here. This application is still far too buggy. as I posted before this thing is crashing like there's no tomorrow. It is slow and it is unstable, not to forget it doesn't even save files properly, because most of the time, when I open a previously saved file it won't load the pictures.

Even worse I found another bug: when I switch OS X to German, my iPhoto album and event names will show up, but for some reason none of the photos will appear. Switching the OS back to English fixes the issue. This is lame. I really start doubting that you did proper beta testing with Comic Life Magiq. I am utterly disappointed about Comic Life Magiq's current state of stability usasbility and polish.

Re:Saved Comic Won't Load - 2008/07/29 16:57 Hello friends,

i´ve got the same problems since yesterday evening!

After having created lots of comics with comic life magiq, none of my saved "arts" could be opened adequately!

For me, this seems to be another case of having used the consumers as beta-testers!!

I am thinking about to write a letter to some sort of IT-Journalists.

That is a real scandal!!!

I want my money back.
