Please visit the forum for more information, including where to download the beta.

Thank you very much for your help testing the future!

Comic Life Magiq 1.0.2.1 update released
A free update for Comic Life Magiq is available for all users.

Identical to 1.0.2c in all but version number, which has been changed to ensure 1.0.2 users are made aware of the 1.0.2c update via the menu: Comic Life Magiq > Check for Updates...

This 1.0.2.1 update is recommended for all 1.0.2 users and fixes a serious saving issue introduced in 1.0.2 that caused images to be left out of the document.

If you're already running 1.0.2c (v10939) you can "Skip This Version".

Head to the plasq downloads page to get the 1.0.2.1 update or update from within Comic Life Magiq.

Thanks for your support - it means a lot to us!
If you want, you can always close the Details (left side) section in Comic Life Magiq and not even see any of the details. This can be a nice way to 'keep things simple'. There are a few features, like the Auto-snip tool for cutting out images that I think will prove themselves invaluable over time.. we'd love to know what you find, or don't find useful in Comic Life Magiq.

Many thanks

No point.

I always base my new comic on the old one (just adjust the pictures and balloons to suit but maintain the “look and feel”) and if Magiq wont open the old template I’m sunk.

Beside I don’t want to play with the images or muck around with the balloon shapes so all the new “Magiq” features are of no use to me, even if I did rebuild the template in the new application.

Re:Comic Life comics won't open in Magiq - 2008/05/26 09:11 Hi. I too would like to be able to open my Comic Life files in Comic Life Magiq.

I used the Export to HTML feature and like they way you seem to be able to update the index page with your comics are you go. It looks like it would be easy to create / maintain a comic "site".

So I thought I'd add my old comics to the "site" and was really disappointed to discover I can't open my old comics.

Whilst i know some HTML and could probably do it myself, it seems plasq have that functionality already .. so why would I want to duplicate the effort?

Still ... I guess it's still version 1. So keep up the great work guys... but please provide a solution to open Comic Life files in CL Magiq.

Re:Comic Life comics won't open in Magiq - 2008/07/22 23:49 Just adding weight to the upgrade concept - I thought old projects would open, that's usually the way it works.

We got a new computer for my children, I couldn't work out how to transfer Comiclife (MAC bundle) from my work computer so bought Magiq - now they can't open any of their old work, including school projects, so I do feel a bit miffed as I could have spent less and got more.

It is one of the most used programs they have, though.

Re:Comic Life comics won't open in Magiq - 2008/07/30 16:15 Hello,

put me on the list of disappointed users. Until I am not able to import the comic life comics, I will not purchase Maqgiq.

I use some of the styles of Comic life and I need them exactly the same way in Magiq (The comics should looks basicly the same). An import would help there allot.

Best regards
Hans-Joachim

Re:Comic Life comics won't open in Magiq - 2008/07/30 16:39 Ah, i forgot something:

For me it would be enough if the Comic Life Styles would be converted.

Best regards
