Comic Life 1.5.1 OS X 10.4 Tiger users
PLEASE NOTE: Users running OS X 10.4 Tiger, and recently updated to Comic Life 1.5.1 - and are having crashing issues, please read below:

An issue has occurred with Comic Life 1.5.1 for users running OS X 10.4 Tiger where dragging images or loading documents with images is crashing the application.

For those of you that have updated, you may go back to 1.5 by downloading here.

We have now pulled the 1.5.1 update and are looking into the issue - we will release a 1.5.2 update to fix the issues as soon as we can.

We are very sorry for this issue and offer our sincerest apologies.

Comic Life Magiq 1.1 for Mac!
A Comic Life Magiq for Mac 1.1 update has now been released.

This free 1.1 upate adds the much-requested ability to import Comic Life .comicdoc files.

It also has a few more Snow Leopard compatibility fixes we missed the first time and several other minor improvements.

Please update from within Comic Life Magiq or from our downloads page.

This latest update for Comic Touch (1.2.2) (direct link to App Store) addresses several issues that popped up with the release of the latest iPhone 3.0 update.

The update fixes UI display, photo rotation issues when going into landcape mode, and image effects display issues.

Personally, though, I think cut/copy/paste would actually take something away from the visual simplicity. I think something friendly to kids could be created... maybe once Apple opens up the multi-touch API... but as a simple friendly fun fingerpainting kind of app, Doozla's great!

 Re:Please continue to develop - 2009/03/13 01:49 you guys have great products; Austin ISD loves Comic life; - if you guys develop Doozla a bit more, w/ some features like textures, paint patterns, stickers & a few other tools seen in Kid Pix (you may have to google examples of these on the web), y'all might could become the heir apparent re: the void they left after ceasing development & support of that app after it was bought up by someone after Broderbund. Kid Pix 4 is problematic & buggy & is slow b/c of its lack of support, & it used to be the most popular elementary app out there..

Doozla, on the other hand, is heaven-made for the Mac & could be rounded out w/ substantially more school-purposeful content, & could easily fill the void left behind by the abandment of the original elementary mega-software app, Kid Pix
