Re:Any news on sync to first loop? - 2005/05/21 11:08
I use it for beatboxing.
The problem is this;
If the loop is sync'd to a host sequencer (ableton live for example), I have to try and beatbox my first loop at exactly the right tempo. Either that, or have a premade loop for me to go with so that I'm in time. However, I don't want to have the premade loop because live bbox looping is all about building up the layers from scratch right there infront of the audience.
What I need is to be able to hit record as I start bboxing, and when I drop out for it to start looping immediately. I then need each succesive layer to loop perfectly in time with the main loop.
If you've used sooperlooper then you'll see exactly what I mean. Each succesive layer is overdubbed onto the original loop. Therefore the different layers don't drift out of sync.
Just say my first loop is 2 bars long, I can drop in for a single hit at bar 2 beat 3, and each time the loop goes round I hear the single hit at bar 2 beat 3.
I hope that makes sense!
