PLEASE NOTE: Users running OS X 10.4 Tiger, and recently updated to Comic Life 1.5.1 - and are having crashing issues, please read below:
An issue has occurred with Comic Life 1.5.1 for users running OS X 10.4 Tiger where dragging images or loading documents with images is crashing the application.
For those of you that have updated, you may go back to 1.5 by downloading here.
We have now pulled the 1.5.1 update and are looking into the issue - we will release a 1.5.2 update to fix the issues as soon as we can.
We are very sorry for this issue and offer our sincerest apologies.
Not that long ago, in a galaxy not that far away, we released an update to Pharos IV: Assault!
This 1.1 updates unleashes computer assisted torpedo targeting for greater accuracy, resumption from highest level attained - no more starting over from level 1 - and fixed the stutter issue that affected iPhone 3.0 users.
Update is for both iPhone/iPod Touch and Pharos IV: Assault and Pharos IV: Assault Lite versions.
This latest update for Comic Touch (1.2.2) (direct link to App Store) addresses several issues that popped up with the release of the latest iPhone 3.0 update.
The update fixes UI display, photo rotation issues when going into landcape mode, and image effects display issues.
Please update from within iTunes or using your iPhone/iPod Touch device.
Comic Life 1.5 beta available now! - 2009/04/28 14:44UPDATE: Comic Life 1.5 has been officially released. You may download from here: http://plasq.com/downloads/
Hello there Comic Life friends!
We are excited to release a beta of Comic Life 1.5 for everyone to download and run through its paces before we officially release it.
It has numerous enhancements and bug fixes (full release notes below) - so we would really like everyone to test everything that Comic Life can do! And then report back to us if you have any issues.
How to submit a bug report:
Email cl15beta@plasq.com or reply to this forum thread with the following: 1. Build and revision number you are using (i.e., 1.5b - v13827) 2. Reproducible steps to recreate the bug/issue 3. Screenshots (useful in showing the bug or error messages) 4. System specs 5. email the .comicdoc file if you think it will help (if less than 20MB, otherwise FTP it or contact us for another way) 6. Any other files you think might be useful (images etc)
If Comic Life crashes, and brings up the crash reporter on its next launch, please detail what you were doing at the time. These reports are VERY valuable.
NOTE: As this is a BETA release, please do not use it for production work or projects that have a "due date". Beta software has bugs, and we don't want you losing anything important so please make regular backups of your file (just in case!)
Thanks for your help and have a terrificly awesome day! Kramy | plasq

Re:Comic Life 1.5 beta available now! - 2009/05/12 15:35My Mac crashed in February and when they changed the hard drive in Apple Center in LA I lost everything including my registered Comic Life version which my Uncle installed. Now I'm afraid I don't have means to purchase another one. I use Comic Life mainly for my schoolwork, I am a graduate student currently based in Manila, Philippines. Is there a Comic Life copy for educational use for students like me?
Thanks and your product is a real big help to me. I hope you can respond to my query.
Sincerely, Rosary Diane Maligalig
ADMIN EDIT: I contacted Rosary directly and removed the email address.
Re:Comic Life 1.5 beta available now! - 2009/05/17 07:56first of all, i don't think you're posting in the right place. second, why don't you contact your uncle and ask him for the serial number? If he lost it, all he has to do is enter his email on the serial number recovery page or send the plasq team a picture of him and his disc. hope this helps!

That's what I was thinking. As long as you have, or can get, the purchased serial number, just download it again and you're good to go.
Most software works like that these days, it's the serial you're purchasing, not a specific copy.
