Comic Life 1.5.1 OS X 10.4 Tiger users
PLEASE NOTE: Users running OS X 10.4 Tiger, and recently updated to Comic Life 1.5.1 - and are having crashing issues, please read below:

An issue has occurred with Comic Life 1.5.1 for users running OS X 10.4 Tiger where dragging images or loading documents with images is crashing the application.

For those of you that have updated, you may go back to 1.5 by downloading here.

We have now pulled the 1.5.1 update and are looking into the issue - we will release a 1.5.2 update to fix the issues as soon as we can.

We are very sorry for this issue and offer our sincerest apologies.

Comic Life Magiq 1.1 for Mac!
A Comic Life Magiq for Mac 1.1 update has now been released.

This free 1.1 upate adds the much-requested ability to import Comic Life .comicdoc files.

It also has a few more Snow Leopard compatibility fixes we missed the first time and several other minor improvements.

Please update from within Comic Life Magiq or from our downloads page.

 core animation - 2009/03/20 01:24 Hi,

My kids love and use Doozla all the time and love it. I'm just trying to start out in objective c (from actionscript) and I had a question for the developers. Is Doozla all done in Core Animation? I'm trying to find good examples of this in the real world and this seems like it might be.

Good to hear you're diving into Cocoa with Objective-C. I enjoy the framework for developing applications immensely.

To answer your question, because Doozla runs on 10.4, there's actually no way for us to make use of Core Animation, which is exclusive to Leopard!

But I think you must be referring to the animation at the start of Doozla. That's actually a Quartz Composition: (http://developer.apple.com/graphicsimaging/quartz/ quartzcomposer.html) It was designed and developed by Keith Lang (you can find him with google).
