We are delighted to offer a beta of our upcoming Comic Life Magiq 1.0.3 update.
It has numerous stability and significant performance improvements over 1.0.2.1 - so we would love previous users to download and let us know if you come across any issues.
A free update for Comic Life Magiq is available for all users.
Identical to 1.0.2c in all but version number, which has been changed to ensure 1.0.2 users are made aware of the 1.0.2c update via the menu: Comic Life Magiq > Check for Updates...
This 1.0.2.1 update is recommended for all 1.0.2 users and fixes a serious saving issue introduced in 1.0.2 that caused images to be left out of the document.
If you're already running 1.0.2c (v10939) you can "Skip This Version".
Head to the plasq downloads page to get the 1.0.2.1 update or update from within Comic Life Magiq.

typical latency? - 2005/06/25 01:28Could you give an indication of typical latencies, showing times in ms for direct cable connections, through a small hub, when there's other network traffic etc.
Re:typical latency? - 2005/06/25 03:30latency depends also on your hosts latency settings... I suggest you just try the demo. Usually a buffer size of 1000 samples is enough to have uninterrupted audio. that's about 2.5 ms. If you push things, (low latencies on the hosts) you should be able to get down to 1 ms
Re:typical latency? - 2005/06/25 16:23I have used WH2 with Live using my PC as the effects insert and have found the results very acceptable. This setup when utilsing samples seems immediate, but when plugging a guitar through my Dig001 and utilising this setup the latency is pronounced. Would this be something to do with the 001 setup rather than the LAN?
Re:typical latency? - 2005/06/25 19:49Unfortunately I have no 001
Of course the 001 has latency of its own if you are using a live input. Maybe that one plus the one coming from Wormhole2 add up to something which is more than you like.
If you lower the "audio->latency" setting in live (for the 001) you might be able to get latency down (also for WH2)

I suppose the key is on how one chooses to use WH2. Given that certain latency issues may occur it is obviously better to record the guitar through the 001 and the Mac and then utilise WH2 on the PC to affect the recorded sample.
