Comic Life Magiq 1.0.2.1 update released
A free update for Comic Life Magiq is available for all users.

Identical to 1.0.2c in all but version number, which has been changed to ensure 1.0.2 users are made aware of the 1.0.2c update via the menu: Comic Life Magiq > Check for Updates...

This 1.0.2.1 update is recommended for all 1.0.2 users and fixes a serious saving issue introduced in 1.0.2 that caused images to be left out of the document.

If you're already running 1.0.2c (v10939) you can "Skip This Version".

Head to the plasq downloads page to get the 1.0.2.1 update or update from within Comic Life Magiq.

Problems creating PDF's - 2006/05/17 05:08 Suddenly I have the problem of being unable to create PDF's from within ComicLife (latest version).

A low res version will succeed but will not include the fonts used, when I try to create a normal PDF it will process everything but end up with no PDF at all. I'm using Acrobat 6 Pro, and use system 10.4.6

Re:Problems creating PDF's - 2006/05/18 00:44 Hi.

Hmm, that is very strange.

Does it look okay in Print Preview?

Re:Problems creating PDF's - 2006/09/22 12:42 I am having the same problem. I have a 15 dbl sided pages with lots of photos and colour etc. Now urgently trying to create a pdf to have it printing for my client who is riding me and it does one of the following. 1. Attempts the pdf and then quits about 2/3 way through and says thetre is a file error and there may be some corrupt files OR 2. Creates the pdf but when you open it it has not included the photos on about half the pages, just the colour box work. I'm freaking out, I have spent close to 40 hours on this and can't afford for it not to work. It won't print preview the whole thing either!

Re:Problems creating PDF's - 2006/09/22 12:57 Hi there,

We are aware of some issues with "multiple page (20 or more)" projects having some issues printing or exporting to .pdf. This is due to the computer running out of RAM when it is spooling or creating the .pdf.

We are working on a solution to this problem, but until then - I suggest splitting the .comic up into multiple exports (you can change which pages are exported by changing the Pages: From: 1 to 10, for example). You can then stitch together the .pdf's using a pdf compiler. You can have a look at someplace like http://www.versiontracker.com for such a program. (For example: http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/macosx/24482)

Please let me know how you go.

Re:Problems creating PDF's - 2006/09/22 13:44 Thanks Kramy, you've saved me. That's all worked - a bit of a lengthy way to go about it but I'm just thankful that I will now be able to have it printed. Thx again.
