Comic Life Magiq 1.0.2.1 update released
A free update for Comic Life Magiq is available for all users.

Identical to 1.0.2c in all but version number, which has been changed to ensure 1.0.2 users are made aware of the 1.0.2c update via the menu: Comic Life Magiq > Check for Updates...

This 1.0.2.1 update is recommended for all 1.0.2 users and fixes a serious saving issue introduced in 1.0.2 that caused images to be left out of the document.

If you're already running 1.0.2c (v10939) you can "Skip This Version".

Head to the plasq downloads page to get the 1.0.2.1 update or update from within Comic Life Magiq.

Re:Problems creating PDF's - 2006/09/22 13:47 That's great it worked for you.

Yes, apologies for the lengthy way around. Hopefully, we can find a permanent fix for it soon.

Thanks for letting us know it worked

Re:Problems creating PDF's - 2008/01/13 23:09 I got Comic Life bundled with my Mac, last year, but have only now started to explore it. It's great! But I have encountered this 'Export to PDF" problem. I can't any sort of PDF file. All I get is an empty document, even with a single frame.

Yesterday Comic Life prompted me to install an update, which I did. The problem persists; no export to PDF. I don't get any sort of error message or indication that a problem has occured, just an empty PDF document.

Any ideas?

Re:Problems creating PDF's - 2008/01/27 21:20 Are you exporting via the :

File > Export > Export Fixed-Resolution PDF File menu?

or

File > Print... > PDF > Save as PDF... ?

Could you please try both and please let me know how it goes?

Hi Kramy - 2008/02/08 07:45 Hi Kramy, thanks for replying. Here's the info I have :

Using

File > Print... > PDF > Save as PDF

... it worked !!!

Thank you, thank you! I didn't know that option existed. It works a treat. I noticed there's now a 'Comic Life' option in the print menu. Thanks again.

The problem I was seeing can be reproduced to order, on my Mac Mini like this ...

Using File > Export > Export Fixed-Resolution PDF File

Select page(s) to export, enter a filename with pdf extension, set resolution to 72 dpi (have tried all other options, same results) then invoke the export. Everything appears to go smoothly. A pdf file is generated, open it with Preview, and if I export 10 pages, I will get 10 blank, white pages in the file..
