Comic Life Magiq 1.0.2.1 update released
A free update for Comic Life Magiq is available for all users.

Identical to 1.0.2c in all but version number, which has been changed to ensure 1.0.2 users are made aware of the 1.0.2c update via the menu: Comic Life Magiq > Check for Updates...

This 1.0.2.1 update is recommended for all 1.0.2 users and fixes a serious saving issue introduced in 1.0.2 that caused images to be left out of the document.

White anti-aliasing on text balloons. - 2006/08/02 14:19 On all of the text/speech bubbles, there is a white outline, which makes them not show up well on top of dark things.

Picture displaying the problem:

Look at the edges of the speech/though bubbles.

Has this been brought up before? Are there any cool little tricks to fix it?

Sorry if this is stupid or something, I just started using Comic Life a couple days ago (came with my intel mac), and was thinking about upgrading to Premium, but didn't really want to if this was going to be a problem.

Re:White anti-aliasing on text balloons. - 2006/08/03 08:38 Turning off the "Frame" for a bubble looks to be a decent workaround. Turning it off here leaves a nice clean outline.

As you see, if you lay one over another, though, the two balloons will merge. Use a slight shadow to remedy this.

Re:White anti-aliasing on text balloons. - 2006/08/03 09:03 That's a pretty good idea, but I don't think it would really work on in this case. In the upper right of my example (cut-off in the screen posted), it is just lying on top of a white background. So if I took off the border, then that part of it would look pretty funky.

Re:White anti-aliasing on text balloons. - 2006/08/03 15:38 Yes, I'd figured that the shadow wouldn't be quite enough for the expansive white areas. Might be able to create a duplicate shape to sit behind the white area.
